This Again
Naruto Shippuden
"Shiho, I need to borrow one of Kakashi's books. Can you ask him for me?" I said leaning on a table with my hand in my face. "I would but I need to finish here." Shiho said looking through the paper work.
"I'm begging you, those things entertain me." I said circling the table with my finger. "Entertain you? You should work instead, Lady Tsunade wants this work completed, we're the only ones who can complete it." Shiho responded.
"I've been working on this for days. Why don't you do these with Shikamaru, he's smarter than I am. I need a break." I said and I leaned my head on the table. Shiho sighed. "I'll ask Lady Hokage if she can give you that break."
"Thanks Shi." I said as I ran out the door.
I stretched my arms and looked up at the sky. "Idiot Naruto, when will you return?"
Sakura's POV:
I was walking in the streets of Konoha when I heard a voice behind me. "Miss Sakura!" Yelled Konohamaru.
"Oh, Konohamaru." I said as I turned around. "Where are you off to?" Konohamaru asked me.
"The main village gates. I have to pick up the morning pedestrian traffic ledger for Lady Tsunade. You want to come?" I asked Konohamaru and his team.
Konohamaru accompanied me toward the gates. On the way, he told me about his mission, catching a cat. "We had missions like that too. It kind of takes me back."
"Come to think of it, have you heard anything from big brother Naruto?" Konohamaru asked me.
"Nothing... yet." I respond.
"I see."
"He should be coming back soon, though." I say. We get to the gates of Konoha. "Hello Izumo, Kotetsu." I say.
"Oh, look who's here. Who don't you head on into town?" Kotetsu says. "You'll see something interesting." Izumo adds.
"Something interesting?" Konohamaru says. "Don't tell me!" We ran towards the village and saw Naruto standing on a post. "For real..."
"For real!" Konohamaru yells. "Naruto?! Naruto is that you?!" I shout. "When did you get back? Naruto!"
"Just now!" He jumps off the post. "Long time no see, Sakura-chan."
I smiled. "You've gotten taller than me, haven't you?" I lean to take a closer look at him. "Huh?... Oh! You're right." He says. He kind of... got a build since I saw him last... "So? You think I've become a bit womanly?"
"You're fine! You haven't changed a bit!" He gives me a thumbs up. I get angry and turn away from him. "Brother Naruto!" Konohamaru yelled and transformed. The sexy jutsu...
"Wha..." I cringe.
"How about that?! Pretty nice waist, hips, and bust, huh?!" Konohamaru said. Naruto chuckled. "Konohamaru... I'm not a kid anymore. And you too, shouldn't be using jutsu like that." Naruto says.
That's right. It isn't just your appearance that's matured... I kind of feel a bit lonesome, but you've turned quit admirable, haven't you Naruto? Knowing you, I bet you came back having acquired some incredible jutsu.
"That's such a boring jutsu! Check out my freshly developed new pervy ninjutsu!" Naruto yelled.
Right... like the new pervy ninjutsu... "Here we go!" I punched Naruto before he could transform.
I walked up to him and pulled him from the hole in the ground. "You haven't changed at all, have you, you jerk!" I grab his sweater and yelled at him. "After seeing each other for the first time in like two years! You make me do this in barely two minutes! What am I supposed to do with the feelings of admiration I had for you earlier, huh?!"
Hikari's POV
I was inside Lady Hokage's office, she called me in again. "I want you to complete the remaining of your paper work. You've had a few days off, it's time to get back to it." Lady Tsunade said.
"Of course. But also... have you heard from Hikorushi or Nerutsu?" I ask before I leave.
"Hikorushi is doing fine in anbu. Nerutsu is still working by my side. He's doing okay." She assured me. "Yeah, right, okay." I went back to Shiho and started working. "Shiho, is Temari still in the village?" I ask.
"Hmm? Temari? Oh right, she's still here." Shiho responded. "No wonder Shikamaru isn't here. Uh, fun how I have to do all of this. Shikamaru would finish it quicker." I complained.
As i'm looking at the papers. I see a name, "Who's Akastuki?" I ask Shiho. "Akatsuki? An organization I think." Shiho said.
"Hmm..." I don't know but something seems off. "Everyone has changed..." "What do you mean? Everyone is still the same." Shiho said.
"That's not what I meant. Neji's a jonin, I'm a jonin working under the Hokage's nerd lab thing, everyone has become chunin. Temari and Kankuro are jonin, Gaara is Kazekage, Nerutsu works under the Hokage as a special jonin, and Hikorushi is now a member of the Anbu..." I said.
Shiho turned to look at me in pity. "Hikorushi and Nerutsu were your teammates, and friends. How long has it been since both of you talked or anything?"
I hesitated. "It's been three years, they made an offer to me, to join Anbu, at first I refused, Hikorushi wanted to protect me and so, he joined the Anbu. When that happened, Nerutsu and I parted ways. Nerutsu asked Lady Tsunade to make him a jonin, she hesitated but still made him one. Then, Lady Hokage asked me to join this crew. And so, all three of us did something different. And I never saw them again..."
"But, why were you chosen to join the Black Ops?" Shiho asked.
I stared at the ceiling. "It's a long story..."
Shikamaru's POV:
I walked at the streets of Konoha with Temari at my side and Naruto and Sakura in front of us. "That Kakashi sensei. Is that stupid book more important to him than the results of our training?" Naruto complained.
"Well, now we can discuss our strategy against Kakashi Sensei." Sakura said. Naruto came up to me and Temari. "So, are you guys on a date?" He whispered and grinned. "It's not like that." I said.
"Hnm, cut the jokes, why would I be on a date with this guy? It's almost time for the chunin exams. I've just been back and forth between the Sand and the Leaf. For meetings concerning the exams." Temari said.
"And although it's a pain, I've been put in charge of the Exams. I've just been told to act as a guide for the Sand messenger." I explained.
"Chunin exams, huh?... that sure takes me back..." Naruto said sadly. "So what're you going to do, Naruto?" I ask. "About what?"
"About the Chunin Exams. You're the only one from our class who hasn't become a chunin." I said. "What?! The-Then, you're also a Chunin, Sakura-chan?" Naruto asked.
"Heh-heh, that's right." Sakura said with a smile.
"And just for the record, Kankuro, this person here, Tayomi, and Neji who's one grade above us are already jonin. Hikorushi is an anbu, and Nerutsu works under the Hokage." I said.
"Huh?! Then what about Gaara?!" Naruto asked.
At The Sand Village:
"Lord Kazekage. The meeting is about to begin."
"Okay." Gaara said.
Back At Konoha:
"I see... So Gaara became the Kazekage, huh?..." Naruto clenched his fist and looked down. "That's awesome... I won't be outdone! I'll become the Hokage no matter what! Just you wait, Gaara!"
Hikari's POV:
"Ridiculous, just ridiculous!" I yelled as I messed all the papers up and threw them at the floor. "W-What is it?!" Shiho cringed. "I don't understand any of this!" I yelled again.
"Just calm down, I'll do it for you." Shiho said. "Then do it." I said.
Shiho sat next to me and took a look at my papers, she began to write. In just forty seconds she finished a whole page. "I shouldn't have joined in the first place..." I say as she keeps writing.
"Why do you say that?" Shiho asked me, she was still writing.
"This was never meant for me. I liked being a simple ninja. A kunoichi from the Hidden Leaf Village and the lead of the Hyuga clan. That's all I wanted to be." I say.
"You had no choice, you didn't want to be left alone, both your teammates were moving on. You also wanted to." Said Shiho. "Yeah I know..." I said.
"Done." Shiho said. "Already?" I ask.
"No, i'm done with the first fifty." Shiho said. I swear, her intelligence surprises me.
"Finally! I'm done with all of these. They were two-hundred packages in total." Shiho said. I was already falling asleep. It was dark outside. "Yeah, thanks." I yawned. "I could at least repay somehow."
"No need." Shiho said and fixed her glasses. I stretched my arms and got up my seat. "I'm going home. Thanks again." I said and went out the door.
"I've been in that office all day." I said to myself. I walked towards the Hyuga house. The streets were full, there was a lot of light. I look up at the moon, for some reason, it doesn't feel right. Something doesn't feel right. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.
"S-Sister Hikari." I heard a soft voice behind me. "Oh, Lady Hinata. Why are you here?" I asked. "Well I-I wanted to ask you if you would care to train with me." Hinata said. "Lady Hinata, it's late, and besides that I've been working inside that lab all day, we should get some rest, I'll see you then Hinata." I walked away and left her.
I arrived at the Hyuga compound and rested on my bed. No but seriously, what is this feeling?
"So which one suits me better? The lavender one or the dark purple?" Ino asked me holding up two outfits. "Let's see, in the lavender one you look like a slut and in the purple one you also look like a slut, so, stick to the one you have, though you also look like a slut." I answered.
Ino made an angry face. "You're no help at all! Anyway maybe I should stick to the one I already have on, I really like its feeling, so smooth." She began to rub her skirt.
I sighed in annoyance. "Why did you even ask me to help you with this? I gotta get to the lab and finish up my work." I stood up but I was stopped by Ino. "No, no, no, no, no, sit back down. You still have to help me with more." She said.
"Ask Sakura to help you." I stood back up again before I was pushed back down by Ino. "Sakura's out on a mission." Ino said. "What type of mission?" I asked. Ino seemed nervous. She sweat dropped. "Well- Uh- You see... she, is escorting a princess! Yeah, so you have to help me!" Ino said. "Why do I feel like you made all of that up?" I muttered.
Ino's POV
If she goes back to the lab she'll find out Gaara has been taken, she'll start to beg Lady Tsunade to go. She'll let her emotions get in her way and the damage she can cause is just as bad as Naruto's, or less. Either way she's so persistent, we were all asked by Master Shizune herself to hold her back and prevent her from setting a foot into the lab.
"So take a look at this outfit. Cute right?" I held up another purple outfit. "Yeah, yeah, so adorable." Hikari responded, placing a hand on her neck and rubbing her small tattoo. "Hey how did you get that?" I asked her referring to the tattoo.
Hikari's POV
"Oh this? Hmm, well." I took my hand off my neck. 'I'm going to tell her.' "Say a word and I'll kill you." Momoshiki said. "There's a god living within me he gave this to me." I said quickly.
"Huh?" Ino stared at me in confusion. "What type of lame joke is that!"
I laughed. I knew she wouldn't believe me, that's why I decided to tell her. "You got lucky love-" 'Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, stop it with the weird nickname.'
"Well it doesn't matter anymore, also, I heard Naruto came back. But i'm not so sure." Ino said. "Huh? The idiot came back?!" I asked jumping off my seat.
"Relax I said i'm not so sure." Ino said. I sighed. "Anyway I'm leaving I need to get back to the lab." Ino quickly grabbed my hand before I could go. "No! Stay here and help me." She said.
"Ino, what's going on?" I asked. "What?! Uh- Nothing why do you say that?" Ino asked. "Ino, just tell me, what's this about. You don't fool me." I said.
"Well- Uh you see-" Before she could say anything else Shiho bursts into the room and yells, "The Kazekage has been kidnapped! Ino Lady Shizune has called you in due to this situation!"
My heart froze. "You stupid Shiho! Hikari is in here!" Ino yelled at her. "Oh, my apologies, I didn't see her." Shiho said nervously. I didn't say anything, I was shocked at the moment. After a moment of silence my expression turned angry. "Are you kidding me! You didn't plan on telling me anything?!" I yelled angrily turning to look at Ino behind me.
"I knew you would get this way! Master Shizune asked me to hide this from you because of it. There's nothing you can do, Team Kakashi has been sent after him. And I think Naruto's with them. We didn't want to worry you." Ino replied.
I burst out of the room and ran towards the Hokage mansion. This again. It's always Gaara.
