Bretol volume one- Stolen Hearts

Excerpt.

She stacked the basket on the counter, licked her lips, and looked around. She had come up with a thorough plan that had been ongoing for a whole month, but today it seemed different. Today she woke up with a mission in mind, wanting to reach her goal no matter how frightening it seemed.

Today she finally was ready to move ahead and confess her innermost feelings to the man she had a crush on all her life.

A sudden groan resonated through the house, her ears straining to hear despite the loud silence within the walls of the house. She walked out of the kitchen archway, glancing up at the stairs and then at the hallway.

Where was that noise coming from?

Without realizing it, she found herself climbing the stairs, the groans becoming louder. A fearful thought occurred to her, that Neculai was being murdered in his sleep and it worked as a catalyst as she rushed to the bedroom at the end, jerking the door open and ready to save him when the scene made her freeze in place.

She watched wide eyes, a girl straddling Neculai, heart hammering through her as mortification filled her.

They were fucking and she was watching like a pervert.

Neculai snapped his head, grey eyes transfixed on her and she felt the air rush through her lungs, pulling her back into reality.

bushbaby: I love the slightly different spin on the were-world and I love love love reading Jaspers story splashed in-between. PARIS IN THE DARK

Hester: Very good, was short too the point , not lingering on the abuse, pity you didn’t let him step in earlier knowing the abuse was happening, but this is almost real for some women who have gone through it, just wish they could all have a princess at te end of thete tunnel
