Chapter 1
It has been four months, eight days, and six hours since my ex-boyfriend and the rest of the baseball betrayed me. Hi, I´m Emmaline and I have been raped, beaten, and belittled for the past four months of my life. It all started after the third game of the season had started and I was late. My boyfriend at the time was and still is an outfielder for our high school team. We had been together for two years and I had never been late to a game, but this time I had forgotten to buy the extra granola bars. I always brought extra snacks and water for the team. When I got to the game, they were just starting to warm up and my brother from another mother was waiting for me because he of course had left his jersey at my house. So as I was parking I threw Trey his jersey and his bbf(big brother forever) bracelet. He wears it willingly!!! I was getting everything out of my car when Scotty, my ex Jeremy´s best friend texted me, asking me to meet him at the locker room with Jeremy´s brace. When I got there, the whole team besides Trey and Rocky(he gives off serious gang vibes). I of course am very unsuspecting because the team loves me so, I say hi and give a few hugs. I punch Zaine on the shoulder and ruffle his hair. When I reach Jeremy, nothing seems amiss. He kisses my forehead and I help put his brace on. As I'm standing up, I start talking to the team,¨Well guys, I think y´all are ready. How do y´all feel about this game?¨ I don´t get to hear the answer though because someone hits me over the head with a bat. When I wake up it's two-seventeen in the morning and I'm tied up in the trunk of a car. I can hear the boys talking, and honestly, I don't like what I hear. Jeremy starts with, ¨Lets just take her to Texas, the school is canceling until they find her and they'll never find her if she's not here.¨ For the kidnapper is pretty smart, but of course, there is thankful there is at least one stupid one. Cough cough Zaine cough. ¨No we can keep up our act and make sure they don't get too close to finding her if we stick around here for a while.¨¨Ight but you're taking the fall if we get caught.¨ After that it was radio silence so I took a nap. I needed my energy if I was gonna escape.
