Chapter 1

She knew it

she knew it

She fucking knew it!

Only the universe knew why she had tried to lie to herself that it wasn’t possible, but she fucking knew it! The day the unknown number flashed across the screen of her phone Alison knew her time was up.

She should have chucked her phone in the nearest river and skipped town.

She had been found; it was only a matter of time before a black leather-covered biker showed up on her doorstep. There was no coincidence this blast from the past showed up only days after the mysterious call.

Damn you false hope

“You forgot how to answer your phone, Doll?” His was deep but gentle sending chills down her.

From his tall frame that overtook her door, to his loud booming voice that shook her walls. Bear had always lived up to his name, from ripping people apart to cuddling up to anything with skirts. The black hair green eyes Greek god was a bear of a person.

“Never got a call” She lied

Reaching his back pocket to pull out his phone it only took two taps of the screen before somewhere in the back of the house her own phone rang.

“You gonna answer that?” The teasing in his eyes made her want to laugh. Leave it to bear to be a smart ass.

Fighting off the need to relax and enjoy his company Alison stood taller as she answered

“Nope is most likely work calling for me to come in early tomorrow, I'll call them back later. It's rude to be on the phone when there’s an ass hole at the door”

Hang up his phone only caused her own to stop ringing, making him laugh.

“Boss wants you at the clubhouse, Ace we gotta go”

Unnamed emotions battled for dominance over her. It’s been years since she heard that nickname. The past was better off staying where it was.

“You got the wrong girl” Trying to close the door the neandertal wouldn’t let it budge.

“Come on Ace I gotta take a piss, let me in or let’s hit the road.” Alison had to bite back a smile as a sense of familiarity washed over her. This man had once been like a brother to her. But that was years ago.

A crash from the backroom demanded both of their attention.

“You got someone here with you?” All teasing was gone. There was no longer an old friend but a pissed-off biker.

“I’m sorry, I think you have the wrong person. But there is a public bathroom down the street. I was just on my way out if you excuse me” Trying to shut the door on a six-foot-seven giant that weighed as much as a fully loaded eighteen-wheeler, was not an easy task. That didn’t stop her from trying.

“Ace, I have my orders to throw you over my shoulders if need be. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Even if I got to kill everyone in this house”

“Sir you are clearly not in proper form. I shall call the police and have you removed from my property”

“Proper form what the fuck does that mean?” Bear said laughing. He was never good at taking anything seriously.

“I am sure a day in a holding cell is enough time to rid your system of whatever should be racing throw it”

“Ace it’s over my shoulder with nothing but the clothes on your back. Or on the back of my bike with a bag. your call, member it’s a long ride from home”

Panic grabbed her heart. Alison knew he was telling the truth. Why else send Bear but to use physical force to get results. The man was known for his strength and loyalty to his brothers. As quickly as panic grabbed her heart was as fast as it disappeared. As a plan started to form Alison knew she only has one chance to pull this off and it wasn’t going to be easy.

“Fine give me 20 mins to pack a bag and I will go willingly” She lied threw her teeth. Trying to close the door before it was too late

20 minutes to get all necessary items and book it out the back door, seem like a perfectly logical plan.

It was possible. It was…

“Mommy the shelf broke”

It was all over.

Damage done. With Dark hair and blue eyes, her son looked every inch like his father, and Bear recognized it. For all his faults Bear was loyal, to his brothers.

“Bear, come check this out”

Alison could only close her eyes as monetary defeat washed over her. Walking around the side of her house from the backyard, was another member of Devils' MC

Cash. Standing at five-eleven he was nowhere near Bear’s height but Cash had the same good looks and dangerous air around him.

Alison knew without words what Cash found and called for Bear to go look at.

She must have really gotten used to civilian life if she didn’t think they would have been waiting at the back door for her. In her back yard with her son’s treehouse and playground with a million toys scattered around the yard.

So plan B. Plan B she needed a Plan B

Slamming the door in the distracted man’s face 20 minutes now meant seconds. They needed to leave NOW. Rushing around the house grabbing clothes, shoe money, and anything necessary to make an escape. It was truly a race against the clock.

“Mommy, there’s a man in our back yard taking a picture of my treehouse then of me from the window while I was watching him.”

All the food she had been fighting to keep down freed itself full force all over her bathroom sink.

“It’s ok baby, just go to your room grab some toys we are leaving very soon”

“But mommy”

“Now Micheal”

Racing to the bathroom window that oversaw the backyard She could see Cash pacing while talking on the phone, while bear just stood there. Even with his arms crossed he looked relaxed like he was enjoying the sun but after years of knowing the man she could see from the second floor of her house he was pissed.

They are both in the back now was her chance.

Grabbing Michael and their bags Alison rushed to the door that lead to her garage. they were going to make it.

Hope-filled her.

They were so going to make it out of here.

“Motherfuckers!” Complete horror overtook her enough to swear in front of her kid.

Four flats.

She didn’t even wonder how they had managed to get into her garage. Under the cover of night, those two have proven multiple times they could do anything.

But she was still too pissed that they had flattened all four of her tires to admire their talents of B&B. They knew there was only going to be one outcome when they rang the doorbell. They took no chances.

Tears pricked her eyes. People lie when they say judgment day happens after you die.

Judgment day can happen any time, and her day was tomorrow. Assuming the Mc rider follows the traffic laws of the road.

That almost made her laugh. Saxon obeying anything was comedy enough to lighten anyone’s mood.

“What happened mommy?”

“The car has a flat we can’t go anywhere. Go on inside I’ll get started on dinner”

Every death sentence had a last meal. She thought to herself as she watched her son walk back into the house.

Alison had immediately voted against having anything delivered. There was no way she’d risk letting them in by opening the door again. It was laughable really.

Neither needed anyone to hold the door open for them.

If they wanted to get in, they would get in. Her poor car being an example of that.

But she apricated the illusion she had that much control of the situation.

Watching as both then balanced on their bikes getting ready to spend the night outside, part of Alison had wished she order if only to get them a pizza or something. Their loyalty would have them there all night until Saxon came. Cold, Hungary, thirsty; didn’t matter.

Short of a swat team ten deep pulling them from their bikes, there was no way those men were moving from that spot

Even on a summer’s night like this, it must be uncomfortable.

Before thinking too hard about it, Alison found herself jumping out of bed. Grabbing blankets and some leftovers from dinner she didn’t bother to analyze why she was seeing to her captive’s comfort. Even as she placed the blankets and food at the top step leaving the door wide open should they decide to come in for the night Alison couldn’t say what demon possessed her to do something so foolish.

A redemption act at the finish line.

Even with the alarm unset and the door wide open It was the first time in seven years Alison felt safe enough to fall asleep without clinging to the gun she hid under her pillow.

The smell of coffee woke her only moments before the sound of male voices reached her ears. Panicking her body ran downstairs to the sound of men laughing.

Stopping mid-step Alison watched as Cash sat at the kitchen island talking to her son. With Bear near the stove attempting to poison them all.

“Mommy, Uncle Bear is making pancakes” Michael was the first one to speak in the silence.

If anyone else has said that Alison was more than ready to argue the point that burnt black goo wasn’t a pancake.

“Tell him my pancakes are better,” She said turning down the flame from the gas top stove. Snatching the pan from his hands and tossing out the “pancake” he had attempted to make. Focusing on making breakfast gave Alison a moment of normalcy. The simplicity of pouring the batter, and flipping the pancake. Everything seemed fine

“Can I mommy?”

Having ignored what was being said she didn’t even know what her son had asked.

“Can you what baby?”

“Uncle Cash said I can get a jacket just like his when I get older. Can I?” With young innocent eyes bright with excitement Alison could only nod while trying to choke out an answer.

Screaming as she pulled her hand from the stove, Alison couldn’t believe how careless she had been.

Rushing to her bathroom she ran cold water over the red blister while searching for the first aid kit.

“You ok” meeting his eyes in the mirror

Alison unleashed everything she had been holding in

“No, I’m not! I was fine. We were fine until you showed up. It hasn’t even been an hour and you’re spewing your shit”

“Don’t take your guilt out on me. You know what you did. I’m not going to wear it”

“I didn’t do shit!” Screaming at his retreating back made her feel better.

When the pain started to ease did she dare show her face downstairs again.

With the boys in front of the tv with a bowl of cereal, it was almost like comedy the grown men were watching cartoons. With the stove, off and the dishes washed Alison felt even more like a bitch. She yells at them and they clean the mess in the kitchen.

Rude.

Sinking onto the stool near the island,

The roar of bikes could be heard even with them being a distance away.

Did he bring the whole club? Her legs were too weak to get up. If she was going to face her past. It would have to be right here on this stool because she couldn’t stand to save her life of her.

One by one they all filed into her kitchen. Surrounding Saxon like a shadow. She has almost forgotten how devastatingly handsome he was. Black hair the ticketed his shoulders, eyes so blue and sharp they missed nothing as they looked her over. It felt like a caress every time he ran them up and down her body. She could feel her nipples tightening as desire filled her from just looking at him.

His eye ran over her twice more before he turned and punched Bear in the face.

“Hey don’t hit my uncle” Michael screamed at Saxon while he punched his father’s leg. A look that promised death was sent over Michael’s head. With Bear pulling Michael away into another room Saxon cleared the room of everyone else.

“OUT” Saxon’s voice shook the whole house when they didn’t move fast enough. Following his suggestion, Alison ran from the room like everyone else.

The only difference was she ran to her room instead of outside.

She should have gone outside with the rest of them.

As her bed hit her back and Saxon pressed down her front, she forgot how deadly and quiet he could move. Eye closed she focused on not allowing her body to react to his over her. To not melt into him like it always had in the past. Not to moan at the feeling of his hand on her neck.

He had trained her body to react to his. Giving and demanding pleasure every time they touched; it seemed her body never forgot those lessons.

The smell of his leather and clean shave clouded her mind, the moment of weakness allowed him to slide between her legs. She could stop the moan that squeaked out.

“My tempting little bitch, You didn’t answer my question yet” Pressing his hips into her Alison’s body reacted out of habit. Wrapping her legs around his waist.

A quick presser on her throat was a tease, a sample of what was yet to come.

“I can see part of you missed me, very much. Already wet for me? You always were a greedy one” His lips caressed her ear as he whispered naughty things to her.

“Sax” She moaned as he kissed her neck. Pulling back, he just stared at her giving the fog a moment to disappear.

“You know what I want to know Ace”

“Yes, he’s yours”
