Summary

An intense thriller that sees seventeen-year-old Elizabeth Sanchez conquer a modern day cult run by a sadistic, narcissistic Pastor whom will do anything to stop her from uncovering the truth. In the United States of America alone, as of 2016, there are reported to be over 3,500 cults still active with a total of 4 million members. Some cults are political, some are economical, others are religious. And some, are still undocumented to exist. After being abused her whole life by her strict Catholic parents, seventeen-year-old Elizabeth finally pushes them to breaking point because of her behavior and is forced to join an Academy that to the outside world, prides themselves on directing members to the right path of God. However, that couldn't be farther from the truth as the Academy isn't an Academy at all--but a cult, and the members have been brainwashed and abused into perfection. As she fights to be unshackled from the cult's mind-controlling, immoral ways, Elizabeth soon discovers that once you enter Cross Academy, you can never get out without losing who you are. And the mysteries are just beginning.

start had me hooked from the start. characters are developing nicely, storyline is not predictable with many twists and turns. very enjoyable.
