“My dear, but sometimes I am Here and sometimes I am not. I like that about myself, I am folded. But please guide me in the right direction, For sometimes I, too, tend to lose myself in my imagination.”

A small village lay down below the mountains, forest covered the village protecting it, but no one dared step foot outside of the wall. The wooden gates protected the people from the Beasts that lived up the mountains around and in the dark forest. The leader is a cruel man. His rules were merciless, he showed no fear or emotion towards awayone. It is said that he killed his wife, after finding out she killed the girl he was cheating with, though no one can prove such actions, besides his wife being dead.
Murder wasn’t common in the village, but other actions were. Stilling, forced marriages for money, Wifes having multiple kids to help with the large farm lands. Young girls taught how to be the perfect housewife.
But one girl was different from the rest. Her parents raised her differently. She is the perfect housewife, but her parents gave her a choice; To choose her husband. Their beliefs were different, but they kept them to themselves. Speaking out would get you killed or thrown into the woods where the beasts will get you.
She rejected all the men in the village, including the leader. The leader wanted her to himself. Even her father turned down offers to those who wanted to marry his daughter.
She jolted from her light sleep, hearing her mother yell, followed by glass shattering. She quickly rushed down the stairs.
" Run, Ella, Run!" Her father yelled, punching one of the intruders, before body slamming a guy against the wall. She ran past her mom, who was crying, but stopped her daughter.
" Take this." She handed her a necklace.
" I-I can't…it's yours. "
" Just take it, Ella and run. " She sent her daughter off, watching her figure climb the walls before disappearing.
" Where is she!" One of the guys noticed the back door opened.
" Long gone" the mother smirks, earning a slap to her cheek.
She heard a click of a knife before the guy called the rest of his men. The strong arms of her husband held her as she cried into his chest.
Meanwhile their little girl was running deep into the woods. Her hand clenching onto the necklace her mother gave her. Tears ran down her face as she pushed herself faster. She soon grew tired, her body resting against the giant oak. Trying to quiet her breathing, she could hear them getting closer.
“Leader wants her alive,” One of them said. They weren't exactly being quiet as they looked for the girl. She quickly clicked the necklace around her neck before she took a deep breath and ran. She knew they were behind her.
She knew they were getting closer and closer. A yell-like groan came from one of the men when he tackled her to the ground. She could hear the rest of the men laughing, watching the girl struggle to get out of his hold.
"Calm down" he spoke, as he lightly traced the tip of his knife on her collarbone. The cold metal moved down her chest, between the valley of her breasts before ripping the thin fabric of her nightgown.
" Boss the leader sai-"
" I know what the leader said, but he owns me. " A dirty smirk played on his lips. His rough hand needed the soft flesh of her breast. She squirmed, trying to push his hand away, earning a slap to her rosy cheek. " Just like your mother, maybe this will teach you a lesson."
A loud cry fell from her lips as the knife pierced through her skin. Her body rejected the cringey feeling of the knife slicing through her skin. She managed to bring her foot up and pushed between his legs, making the man gasp out in pain. He fell backwards, not liking the pressure, giving her a chance to run.
She quickly pulled the knife out, which she regretted right after when the crimson liquid started to pour out of her. She looked down at her wound, her hand holding tightly as she ran for her life. She panted, her lungs burning and her legs were agreeing with them. Her feet stumbled over each other, sending her down a small hill.
She stumbled up, the trees around her waving and moving as she went to lean against one that really was a few inches behind her, she stumbled forward. She walked towards the cliff, not realizing such a drop was in front of her. Right when she was about to take the step of death, she felt her body fly backwards.
Her hands grabbed onto the large furry arm. Her eyes couldn't stop spinning. His large paw-like hand pressed against her wound. She brings her hand up to his large head, touching his ear. Her eyes watched his paw move off her wound before his long pink-ish tongue came into contact with the wound.
She cried out a sob, her hands grabbing a hold of leaves and dirt. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head. She heard his deep voice before everything went black.
" Kill the men, leave the body's for the leader ".
