She sat at her rocking chair by the fire as she did every day. Staring at the rising and falling flames. Her hands caressing one another as she sat there stuck in thought. Her body tensed when she heard my footsteps stop besides the opening of the room. Head tilted at the side I watched as her chest start to rise and fall. I can see it her light her aura fading.

“Aunt I had the same dream again”. I mumble on my words as the creaking of her chair grew louder as she continued to rock back and forth. This time aunt didn’t stop me from telling her about my dream. She sat there the reflection of the fire in her eyes growing steady.

“Everything felt so real this time it was like everything she felt I felt too. Her happiness that bloomed into love then shattering I felt my heart shatter with her. Aunts breathing slowed as I continued with my story. The fire flickered as I let out an unsteady sigh.

“Her heart, my heart so much in my chest I couldn’t breathe like I was drowning. Then I felt power flooding my veins so much power”. I was paused when the fire came to a flickering stop along with my aunts breathing. Her body no longer rocked and her hands fell lifeless in her lap.

I hiccupped a sob as I watched my aunts breathing stop. My heart ringing in my ears I couldn’t hear anything. I dropped to my knees my hands hovering over my mouth. My cries started to fade as I started to chuckle until I was laughing. Laughing as tears fell from my eyes. She left me like they did. My heart started to hurt I fisted my shirt as my vision started to blur.

My sound of footsteps could be heard behind me getting closer. I couldn’t do anything to weak to move. A pain in the back of my head matching the one in my chest. Then everything turned black.

“5361 collected”.

I stared into his red eyes I watched as they were laced in hunger. The hunger of the blood of my people. I cried into his shoulder as he restrained me from moving in his arms. The same arms that I used to hold me tenderly now help with roughly without care bruising my body.

They hurt it felt like fire searing my skin. It burned me I thrashed in his hold letting out a patronizing scream. Why did you be...

My eyes shot open my head bobbing from side to side as I tried to catch my breathe my body laced with sweat. My vision was hazy as I tried to find something to focus but everything was spinning. I tried to move but my body was tied down some sort of table. I thrashed my body around breathing fast and uneven my chest feeling tight.

Where am I. My vision started to clear up as I stared at the ceiling light above my head. My left wrist felt sore as I tried to move my arms around. I slightly move my wrist up to see the numbers 5361 faintly tattooed on me. What did the do to me, why am I tied down, why me. I hadn’t noticed I was crying until tasted salt in my mouth.

The ringing silence was all I could hear as I lied there unable to move tears seeping from my eyes. Soon loud footsteps flooded my hearing. I turn my head to the noise to see a bulky man in all black tattoo’s peeking from underneath his clothing a mask covering a portion of his face. “I just want to go home”. I say through my cries.

“This is your new home”. He said his voice sinningly deep. I washed a wave of fear through me. He grabbed my wrist and the buzzing noise merged with my cries was the only thing I heard before I fainted once more.
