Chapter 1 The Deadly sight
It had been a week,still desperately searching for the Book since morning in every store possible.With a little disappointment he was shutting the last drawer when he felt a frightful stare at his back."How long do you plan to stay here,boy?!"a harsh voice of a lady came from behind."But there's still time left for the shop to close."he gently insisted. The restless annoyed lady replied-"listen up, there had been a chaos recently.The enforcement have arrived and we are ordered to close our shops early. Also the street could be blocked,hurry up." He was a bit surprised. As he stepped outside,he heard a voice summoning him faintly,"Zeke...Zeke!!"which grew louder as it gets closer. "I went to your house but nobody answered... thought you would be here. As expected still hung on that book.. huh?". . "Tom.." Zeke smiled,"that book is something that my uncle got me,but somehow I lost it. Though he did say I won't find another book as this one...still I couldn't help but try." Since childhood Zeke has been raised by his uncle who rarely visits him during holidays. Mr kinn, zeke's uncle was a mysterious and playful man. Few years ago he handed Zeke a book called 'Across The sea' to Zeke saying, it holds many secrets but never allowed him to read. About two weeks ago,that book went missing. Therefore Zeke is trying hard to find a similar book as previous one without letting his uncle kinn know. Zeke and his friend Tom, realized the crowd growing as they headed towards home. Once they reached home, they were socked to see the enforcement lining up infront of their building. Zeke rushed to second floor of the building towards his room. He spotted his uncle, Mr.kinn's shoes lying near the door. Zeke was confused about the cops and his uncle being at home without any early notice and broke through the crowd including the cops who gathered around the room.The atmosphere at surrounding became heavy, he stood numb as a spark of fear went through his spine witnessing the deadly sight of his uncle whose eyes were filled with horror having terrified look in his face.
