Chapter 1
Samantha
I'm in the car they sent for me, I'm jet lagged after my 4 hour flight. They sent a pack warrior to pick me up at the airport, I think his name is Tony or Tim not so sure.
An hour later, we reached the pack house.
'The Alpha and the Beta will be here by 5:30 pm then dinner will be ready by 7pm' Tim said as we entered the pack house with my suitcases
'Alright, thank you. I'll just take a nap' was my response
He showed me my room, which was on the 2nd floor. as soon as I got inside, I quickly locked the door, unpacked a few outfits and went to take a bath. I soaked my body in lavender scented bath salts for 20 seconds... I got into my baby blue pajamas and slept.
I woke up to a soft knock at my bedroom door, I yelled 'coming' as I quickly covered myself with a robe. I rushed to the door and found an older looking lady 'Sorry to disturb you miss I'm just here to inform you that dinner will be ready in 30 minutes and you'll be dinning with the beta and his family'
'Thank you ma'am, and please call me Sammy'
with that she left, she looks really friendly and gives off that homey vibe. I quickly grabbed a black casual jumpsuit and tied my hair in a bun. connected my laptop so that it charges will I'm eating, and I texted my parents and siblings that I'm safe and sound because those people tend to worry, it's like they're scared I'll get kidnapped lol. Damien makes me promise to call him after dinner so that he knows I'm really safe, what an overprotective brother. seeing that I have 10 minutes to dinner, I start heading to the kitchen on the ground floor.
I find two people and a child who seems to be four years old already seated at the table. The female quickly gets up to greet me and I see the little girl do the same, 'You must be the pack's new psychologist, I'm the beta's wife Alice and this is Lily our daughter. It's nice to officially meet you' she says in a calm but excited voice while extending her hand to mine. 'It's nice to meet you too, I'm Samantha but you can call me Sammy' I shake her extended hand, and I smile at the little girl
'You're very pweety, I wike you already. be my best fwend, pweety pwease' Lily opens her arms and I think she wants me to carry her which I do 'Of course sweetie, I'll be your bestest best friend' I didn't even notice the man approach us as well
'My name is Nathan, the beta and this is my family. you're welcome and please take a seat, the food will be here any minute from now' we shake hands and we all take our seats while Lily decides to take a seat next to me
'it seems Lily likes you'
'well, I do have a charm for kids'
'she's mine, Uncle Alex will steal her from me. he likes pweety girls' we all laugh at that
'i won't let him steal me from you, okay?'
The dinner was brought and I got to learn somethings about the pack, I was also informed that the Alpha will be here after a week or so, because he was attending to some important issues in his sisters pack. Alice promised to show me around the pack tomorrow while Lily promised to show me her toys and tree house.
The beta said he'd give me an official tour at the hospital where I'll be working on Friday and he insisted I rest since today was only a Tuesday. We all said our goodbyes and I headed to my room.
I called Damien, my sisters and parents and I told them how my day went. Damien threatened to kill anyone who hurts me during my stay here and funny enough, we all know he means it. I unplugged my laptop, watched a movie and slept.
