This town is utterly horrible. You would think today of all days there would be a turkey somewhere. I have checked every store in this town. No turkey. The list my mom gave me reads “Dressing, ham, apple pie, and turkey”. It is the last one to get. They must be sold out.
Walking along the sidewalk on my way back home I scan the roads. As I look around there are busy stores, people carrying several shopping bags, and the smell of strawberry pastries in the air. I arrive home to my mom calling my name.
“Meadow, Meadow, you're home?” she said. I yelled, “Yes, mom!”
After putting the items on the kitchen table, I ran up to my room. In the house lives my mom, my two siblings, and me. I have two sisters, Elsa, and Violet; They are both lovely. I lay on my bed and reach for my headphones on my nightstand to listen to some music. As I try to grab them, they fall to the floor. While picking them up I see something rather unusual. There is a small white box lined with gold. Opening the box, I find a key and a piece of paper with a quote on it. The quote is “Be who you are and say how you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind By Dr. Seuss.” I wonder what to do with the key. I have no idea where this box has come from. I look inside the box some more to find a keyhole inside of it. Not fully thinking anything through I twist the key inside, and everything goes white.
