Chapter 1
Today was Amara’s first day of school. She was super excited because a new year of basketball. Amara only likes school because of basketball and her best friend Maddie. Maddie was Amara’s only friend. Amara gave Maddie a nickname which was Mads.
Amara was getting ready for school which was athletic shorts and a shirt, she also wore white Nike socks with her blazers. Amara never cared about how she looked.
Amara has straight dirty-blonde hair and blue eyes. Amara drove to school and picked up maddie on the way.
“Hey Mads!” Amara said
“Heyyy!” Maddie said
“Hopefully we get the same classes this year” Amara said
“Yes, I don’t want to be stuck with random weird people” Maddie said
“Same” Amara said
And with that Amara and Maddie were at school. Amara and Maddie got their time-sheet, which Maddie and Amara were not happy about. Maddie and Amara had no classes together.
“Are you serious?!” Amara said furious
“What the heck, how did we get no classes together?” Maddie said
“I don’t know, but I’ll see you at lunch” Amara said
“Yeah, see you at lunch” Maddie said
The bell rings and Maddie and Amara get to class.
Amara had basketball practice tonight and that was all she could think about.
During the whole day the teachers just talked about what they love doing and why they chose to be a teacher so the day went by fast, until last hour and a really handsome boy walked in and he sat right next to Amara. Amara couldn’t believe it, she had a boy sitting next to her.
“Hey” the boy said
“Hi” Amara said
“My names Lucas” the boy said
“Mines Amara” Amara said
“Can I get your number?” Lucas said
“Sure?” Amara said
Amara and Lucas talked about random things and with that, the hour was over.
Amara went to the gym for basketball practice and put on her shoes when she got a message. It was Lucas and he asked if they could hang out. Amara said no because she had basketball practice and he was trying to convince her to skip. Amara didn’t listen and told him that they can hang out after her practice.
After an hour and a half of practice it was over. Amara was texting Lucas telling him that they could hang out now.
