Goop, goop, goop
It’s midnight on the clock. You haven’t slept in two nights. But you still have to tonight, because it’s already hard to think because of fatigue. At least a little...
As soon as your head touched the pillow, you fell asleep.
And then it happened again...
You heard footsteps. They grew louder as you approached the room. To the room you were sleeping in. “No! No,” you thought, desperately trying to pick yourself out of this half dream. You were aware of what was happening in reality. Here you felt a cat jump at your feet. Here you heard voices outside. But you couldn’t move so you couldn’t hear those footsteps. Goop, goop, goop. You try to pinch yourself, to bite your lip. Goop, goop, goop. You try to scream. Goop, goop, goop. You pray that some noise or cat will wake you up.
The door opens and HE enters. You don’t know what he looks like or what it is. After all, you’ve never opened your eyes to look at him. This is the only thing you can do in this nightmare. You can feel HE standing there wanting you to look at him. If you do as HE asks, you will experience tremendous fear and maybe your heart can’t even handle the fright, so you lie there waiting for HE to go away.
Then the panic signal went through my whole body and stopped in my heart, which froze for a second, like a screamer in a horror movie.
And then you wake up. Your heart is pounding, as if it wants to ram into your chest and jump out.
Trying to come to your senses, you breathe heavily and loudly. That’s it. This night is going to be quiet. You have survived the nightmare this time. It won’t bother you again. Until the next night.
You go back to sleep thinking that you’ll wake up in the morning without a nightmare and be fresh all day.
“No! No!” Goop, goop, goop...
