Chapter 1
"Go to hell!". Victoria says before walking away from her boyfriend JP. Me and my friends Masaki and Meera watched in a distance.
"It looks like they've broken up for real this time". Meera says as she eats a baby carrot and has a sip of her milk.
"Yeah. She told him to go to hell and everything". Aki says.
"I wonder what JP did for it to end this bad". I say removing my glasses and placing them in my blazer pocket.
"I doesn't matter what he because Victoria and JP are no longer together, so that means you have a chance with him Zuri".
"No way". I turn her suggestion down.
"He was with Victoria, and she's beautiful. I stand no chance". I say biting into my sandwich.
"Really now? This again?". Meera says rolling her eyes.
"What again?". I ask.
"Why do you always act like that?". She says as she packs her bags as we near the end of the break and it's a long way to class.
"Like what?". I ask know very well what she means. I have very low self confidence and it annoys Meera.
"Whatever. Let's go". She says as she grabs her bag. Masaki and I follow as we begin the journey to class.

Meera,Masaki and I are sitting in class. It's the last period of the day and we're since our teacher left early. The called in an Assistant Educator but it's not like they do anything.
We have English right now. English is the only subject I share with JP. I send almost every period staring at him. He once winked at me when he saw me look and I almost had a nose bleed.
JP was nowhere to be found though. I forward to English everyday and he's not here. All the other girls in class noticed too. But they were all busy getting their faces made up.
"Even when he is not here this girls are thirsty". Masaki comments.
"I don't blame them it's JP" I say.
"Im surprised you're not there licking John Paul's desk". Meera says.
"She's too shy" Masaki teases.
"You guys can..." I begin to say but I'm stoped by the sight of JP. He's 20 minutes late but walks in like he owns the place.
"Why did you? Oh". Meera says as she realises that her worst nightmare has just walked in.
Meera and JP are cousins, but Meera does not like the fact that her Aunt married his father and had him does not sit well with her.
I watch as JP sits down in his seat adjacent mine and looks outside the window. The Victoria breakup must be taking a tool on him.
I watch as a bunch of girls who wish they had a chance with him swarm around him like ants to a slice of bread.
"Jealousy will get you killed" Meera says as she catches me staring jealousy
"I'm sorry I just can't help it".
"You're confusing Zuri".

When the bell finally rings my friends and I begin to leave school. Meera and I wave goodbye to Masaki and get in to the school bus.
We enter and sit in our usual spot. The middle row.
"I heard Victoria was crying in the bathroom".
"Whoa".
"Yeah I know".
She says. After our small conversation their was a comfortable silence. When It was my stop I said bye to Meera and exit the bus.
I enter my house and there is silence.
"Amari, I'm home" I say.
"I'm in my room!" She shouts back.
I place my bag on the ground and head to her room.
I enter and find her on her phone.
"Where's mum and dad?" I ask.
"Dad's still at work and mum's over at aunt Sophia's house".
"Cool". I say as I leave her bedroom. I enter my room and jump onto my bed. I'm pretty tired and a nap could do me some good.
I take a nearby throw blanket and begin to drift to bed.
