Chapter 1

The dark hooded figure rushed towards cash register 3.

“Give me all your cash, NOW!” The robber demanded, whipping out a gun from his loose black attire. The blonde cashier shrunk in fear from the attacker’s loud voice and the barrel aimed at her head. She stuttered before starting to fumble with the cash register. All of the other staff and customers started panicking and ran to safety.

Well, everyone except for me.

“Hey, asshole,” I said. People gasped and the intruder turned around, shocked. I clearly wasn’t part of the plan.

I then walked up to him while slowly removing my jacket. “It’s so hot in here, don’t you think?” I said coolly.

The robber was confused. “B-back off s-s-sweetheart!” He stuttered. “I-I have a gun!”

He repositioned his gun toward my face. His arms were extended and shaking, only several feet from me. Perfect.

I swung my leg expertly and knocked the gun out of his hands. “Not anymore,” I said.

By now there was quite a large crowd, watching the robber’s and my every move. The intruder frantically looked back and forth between me and the weapon several times before diving toward the gun. Good thing I was one step ahead.

I immediately tackled him and held him in a tight grip, pinning him to the ground.

“It’s jail time baby,” I said triumphantly.

jo987_123: This is a good story, but it needs a good editor to go through this iteration and fix the mistakes. The pov changes from 1st person to 3rd person, often, and sometimes within one sentence. It needs a liberal sprinkling of punctuation marks throughout, and a decision needs to be made about the char...
