Chapter 1 - Dane
"Yes! YES! Aaaah, right there! Aaaaaaaah!"
I grunted but kept thrusting deeper while Kitty came over my shaft. She had always been a talkative person during sex and it never bothered me before but today I couldn't focus on her ass bumping on my groin as I took her doggy style.
I grabbed her hips tighter and pushed her head into the mattress, deepening the sensation but it was doing nothing to me.
I growled and stopped, I wasn't going to come. Again.
Fuck! It had already been a nightmare to get me hard and now I couldn't go through with it! Fuck! Since my 36-birthday it seemed like I couldn't jizz anymore and it frustrated me. I needed to come.

"Are you OK?" Kitty turned to me, her I-just-gotten-fucked hair said everything on how she felt, fucking great, while I was miserable.
My grumpy face seemed to answer her question and she languorously crawled toward me.
"Maybe I can help you with that." She smiled smugly while licking my manhood. I grinned back at her, Kitty had always been skilled with her tongue. I laid back on my bed, put my hands behind my head and closed my eyes.
"Come on then." I chuckled, I really needed to get off and a blowjob was perfect.
Kitty took me with both her hands and started licking my top until it was soaked with saliva, then she went deeper, taking me halfway which was already not bad given my size. I grinned, I loved it when girls choked on my shaft.
A few minutes later, she was still going at it and nothing was building up on my side, I had to concentrate to stay hard enough for her to suck me. Fuck! What was happening?
"Dane, can I talk to you?" Gray mind-linked me. Great… I growled.
I wasn't going anywhere anyway so why not end it now.
I pushed Kitty away, grumbled an excuse, picked up a pair of jeans and left my room.
On my way to Gray's office, I thought about earlier today, how I wasn't that inclined to fuck Kitty when she came to me, my wolf was for sure totally against it but fuck him too, he wasn't the one walking around with blue balls. I fucking needed to get laid, but Kitty was barely exciting me anymore and even if I forced myself into it I just couldn't finish.
I fisted my hands and slammed Gray's door, he instantly lifted his head toward me, killing me with his Alpha gaze. I snickered, if this look could kill, I would have been dead years ago, and multiple times since then.
"Do I have to remind you about our deal?" Gray asked me, lifting an eyebrow in the process.
"No." I grunted and sat down. I was banned from breaking any door until Jade, Gray's daughter, turned 5. I still had two years to go but my hands were itching.
"Good." Gray nodded and leaned back against his armchair. "I might have something for you." He said, enigmatic.
"Which is?" I asked bluntly. I wasn't in the mood for charades, it was almost midnight and I was going to spend another lonely night with my hand.
Gray looked at me intensely.
"Are you OK, Dane?"
I looked at him, stunned. Gray rarely asked me personal questions, we were really close but we mostly kept to each other, well, at least I did. Unfortunately for me, I knew all about Gray's personal life, up to his attempts to have another child and in which position– I shivered, I didn't want to remember the specifics, not when I saw Poppy every day at breakfast, it was too personal.
Gray's gaze stayed on my face, he was indeed waiting for an answer. I sighed, this fucker wasn't going to let it go.
"I can't get off anymore." I admitted in a growl. "Even Kitty can't make me come."
Gray's eyebrows shot up, he knew how much I liked Kitty's body and how good she had been to me in the past years.
"What changed?" Gray asked and I sighed again. I didn't want to talk about it, no man liked to talk about his inability to get hard and jizz.
"Nothing." I stated and moved onto another subject. "What did you have for me?"
Gray stayed silent for a few more seconds before reaching for a folder and giving it to me.
"They're back." Was all he said.
That got my attention. No way! Not after all this time I spent searching for them, I gave up nearly a year ago and now they were back.
"A Southern pack found a body fitting the description at their border. They said that there had been some wolves missing from the city but nothing to be worried about before that." Gray motioned to the open folder in my hands. "The body was indeed dried out of blood. He was a warrior, second son of a Beta."
I nodded, it fit the profile. A strong wolf abducted for his blood, I knew every detail of every murder by heart. I studied the case for nearly two years.
"The vampire King wants to send someone this time." Gray added with a frown on his face. "I don't have any more details, you'd have to see this with your friend Timmy."
I grunted loudly, I was fed up with vampires! I had been tracking one for years without any help whatsoever and now that I gave up, they were sending someone? What the fuck? I'd be damned if a leech stole my case, I worked my ass off on this one.
"I won't see anything with anyone." I growled. "This is my case and Timmy knows it very well. If he wants to send someone, he'll contact me."
That was it. I was back on the case and I was going to find this fucking murderer before any leech did. Don't get me wrong, I'd always been someone eager to share and work within a team, even with my Alpha temper, but I wouldn't give all the credit to someone who hadn't been working with me these last two years! I could be welcoming people on my team but I wasn't a fool. So this fucker could stick it up his ass for all I cared.
"It's settled then." Gray nodded slightly, I guessed he was glad I wasn't jumping around at the thought of a vampire on the case. We knew for sure that the perpetrator we were looking for was indeed a vamp. Was the vampire King sending someone to bury this case once and for all? As much as I could stand Timmy on rare occasions, I knew the vampire Realm had purposes on its own and couldn't be trusted.
"Be ready to leave tomorrow morning at 7." Gray told me.
"So soon?" I wondered. I hadn't touched my files in a year, I needed time to clear my head.
"Yes." Gray declared. "I need you back here tomorrow night, at 6pm." The Alpha squinted at me. "And don't you fucking be late this time."
I looked at him stunned, a few seconds passed before I remembered what was happening tomorrow night : Jade's 3rd birthday! Gray was still mad at me for missing her birth years ago and he was reminding me of it every so often.
"I wouldn't dare." I grinned smugly, I knew my cockyness was annoying him.
I stood up and walked to the office door when Gray stopped me.
"Tomorrow is Saturday by the way."
I rolled my eyes, did he really think I was that immature?
"I know." I answered while looking at him with an annoyed face. "I'll go and see Marcus before I leave and I'll bring him to Jade's party in the evening." I bowed at his majesty, laughed, and left before Gray could hit me with something.
I had been taking care of Marcus every Saturday since Poppy's kidnapping three years ago. His dad was working his ass off to show his gratitude to Gray for having taken him into our Pack, the poor boy needed distraction and fun. So that's what we did on Saturdays.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't spend much time with him tomorrow but I'd make it right, we might go to the lake on Sunday then.
When I got back to my room, I was relieved to see Kitty gone but my gaze got caught by a small note on the bedside table.
"We need to talk. K."
I growled. A meeting with a vamp and a talk between sex buddies? I couldn't wait...
