Prologue
The door to the hospital room her little brother was in burst open and in rushed her parents. Her mom who prefers to be called Lady P, glared at her furiously. "What the hell happened to my boy?" She asked her oldest child.
"I don't know ma. I was upstairs attending to Vera and I heard Ben scream." She began to sob.
"Rose" Her dad cooed, going to sit with her on the only chair in the room and pulling her into his arms for a warm hug "it's alright my dear. It wasn't your fault."
" Whose fault was it then?" Her mom whispered harshly.
"Not now Peace! My son is in a coma and I don't want a scene here."
"He's my son too!" She insisted.
"You sure don't act like a mother"
Just before either of them could get another word out, the doctor came in, successfully ending their back and forth.
"I'd like to remind you that this is a hospital and noises aren't allowed." The doctor said looking between each parent.
"I'm doctor Anne and I'd like you to follow me to my office"
"Of course doctor, we're really sorry"
"Doctor, will my brother be okay?" Rose asked in a very small voice before they could leave the room.
" Honey, he's in a very critical condition but I hope he has the strength to fight through it". Doctor Anne replied, looking at the little girl with sad eyes.
