Chapter 1
Sarah's POV
"You can place the white roses in the center pieces on each table." I say pointing to the tables.
I look around and just have one thought this is exactly how Anna wanted her wedding to be.
I turn to walk towards the kitchen when I dash into him. The man I never want to see but as my luck would have it I have to.
"What are you doing here?" I ask Kevin as he looks down upon me with a cold and expressionless face. "Mr. Wright is here to meet Miss Anna." His secretary Max answers.
"Sure, head up to the second floor the second room to the right." I say and walk away. I just don't understand what Anna sees in this man.
"You met him just now didn't you?" Chloe asks. "Yeah, but how do you know?" I ask her "Well I'm your best friend so I know what gets you riled up." She says while filling her icing pipe.
I take a deep breath to calm myself down. It's no big deal just one more day and then every family function for my entire life is how long Kevin will haunt me.
"Your just like this because of the past aren't you?" Chloe says and then realizes what she just said. "It's fine I don't let that bother me anymore." I say picking a cupcake to taste it.
"Sarah, honey can you check on Anna for me? Thank you." Mary pokes her head into the kitchen and says sweetly. "Urgh, I don't know why she pretends." I say to Chloe who gives me a wicked grin.
"You know how your mom gets when people are around." Chloe says gesturing to her staff elbow deep in preparations. I pick up another cupcake and wave goodbye before walking out.
I walk up the stairs and stop in front of Anna's room. It's fine just take a deep breath and knock. You've already seen the worst.
I lift my hand and make a ball of my palm taking a deep breath I knock on the door and wait.
The door flies open and I see Max. He looks pale. He grabs my hand and pulls me in slamming the door behind me. "What's wrong?" I ask him as he locks the door.
"Where's Anna?" I look around the room when Max grows furious. "She's missing." "Yeah right, you're funny." I scoff. "I'm serious." He says grabbing my wrist. "You're hurting me. " I say as I feel the pain right in my bone.
"Good. So tell me where is Anna." "I don't know. Do you think I'd make her run away." I ask and he leavs my wrist. "Mr. Wright knows nothing about this and he shouldn't learn about this either." Max says grabbing his cellphone when it rings.
"I don't care find her." He says into the phone. "There's no use of hiding it." I say looking at my phone screen. "The wedding starts in fifteen minutes." Max looks like he's seen a ghost.
We both sit in silence in the room thinking or more so fearing what would happen if he found out everything.
"You take Anna's place." Max stands and says proudly like its the world's best idea. I look at him dumb founded "dude no."
