The Past and The Present

THE PAST

The field is littered with shells, blood, and bodies. Red, pink, and silver are the new colors of what was once a tranquil, tender field, which has now become the stage of a full-blown invasion.

The air which would typically carry the delicate scents of flowers and fruits is now a barrage of sounds of explosions, war cries, and the screams of the wounded, something no survivor will ever forget.

Two parties fight each other for the survival of their kind, but the victor is apparent. The dead of the losing side are spread around the field, and the faces of the fighters are grim with exhaustion and the certainty of death; they want to give up but somehow keep fighting.

With the rush of victory coursing through their bodies, the winning side fights with newfound strength. Some have succumbed to a frenzy and are killing any enemy they see in a fury of blood and gore, while others just wish all this was over.

THE PRESENT

Charleme is a relatively unknown kingdom to the rest of the world. It is a small kingdom with a population that consists of humans.

It was surrounded by large rock formations to the north, a jungle to the south, a wasteland to the east, and a calm river to the west.

Charleme is mainly covered in jungles and has a warm climate, leading to a closely concentrated population. Along with that, the kingdom of Charleme is the last remaining kingdom not subjugated under the rule of the werewolves.

The country’s landscape is elegant; dramatic mountain views, imposing fjords, and stunning flower fields are just a taste of Charleme’s beauty. However, those views are useless in the eyes of the commoners and only the nobles can truly enjoy them.

The people of Charleme are rude to newcomers and tend to greet them coldly. They fear that newcomers will expose their safe refuge to the werewolves.

Charleme has strict laws and law enforcement, as one would expect.

The people are terrified because of infertile lands and the possibility of being discovered by werewolves.

Thousands of years ago, humans discovered the existence of werewolves. The thought of werewolves frightened most people, so they formed a group called hunters. The hunters banded together to kill werewolves to protect themselves from being attacked. Years of vigilance against those creatures, however, bore no fruit.

When the supposed king of the werewolves died hundreds of years ago, the werewolves launched a coordinated attack on humans.

They enslaved humans and pillaged their resources.

The hands of the werewolves brought down every kingdom and empire.

The werewolves then took over those fallen domains and instituted a new rule: Humans are now the werewolves’ slaves.

This is the law that started it all.

Werewolves have taken control of humans and are doing unspeakable things to them.

However, there was one compound in the midst of it all that had yet to be taken over by the werewolves. Charleme’s hidden prosperous kingdom.

This situation, however, will not last.

The werewolves will arrive soon, and the world will be thrown into disarray.

And it all started with a lost man in the jungle.
