Chapter 1
"Ariana,wake up it's time to go to school." My elder sister, Iris, called.
It my first day in my new school. I am in my senior year. I had to enroll in a new school because my former school got burnt. I was in the school auditorium when it happened. I was talking to one of my friends when a lightening struck in the science lab. It affected the gadgets which affected all the plugged gadgets in the school. Then, the fire started. The chemicals in the lab made it worse. Most of us tried to leave safely while some got burnt to death in the school because it was so big.
"You are getting late for school!" She shouted and I stood up. I ran to the bathroom to take my bath. "Wear something decent." She shouted from my room and went outside. When I was done, I went into my closet and wore a black long sleeved turtle neck body hug on a short green and black striped skirt with a black transparent pulp socks. I went to my shoe section and wore pure black round toe stiletto heels lace up boot. I went to my dressing mirror and brushed my long golden brown hair with big curls. I used my straighter and straighten my hair. When I was done, I used my powder, mascara, eyeliner, nude color eyeshadow and a nude lipstick. I used a butterfly drop cuff earing, a long silver necklace with a butterfly pendant and two black hand beads on both hands. I took a small white and black fashion backpack with a black sunshade. I kept a note pad and my laptop in my bag with my two phones.
I went to the dinning room after I was done. I saw my family eating breakfast. "Morning everyone." I said. I went over to my mom and pecked her forehead. "Morning darling." My mom said while she poured some honey on my dad's pancakes. I pecked my dad on his left cheek and sat on the empty sit beside him. "How was your night honey?" My dad asked. "Fine and yours?" "It was great. Are you ready for school? Your mom already sent the address to you, do you want your driver to take you or you're good?" "Nah, I'm good. Thanks. I need to go now." I drank a glass of orange juice and stood up when my mom stopped me. " Eat something before you go my dear." "No, I'm good. Plus I'm late for school. Bye." I said and left immediately or else she will force me to eat. I went to the waiting room and took the key to my Lamborghini Huracán Spyder, my favorite car. I went to the under ground garage to take my car when I met Ryan my bodyguard aka my best friend talking to the other guys. His hazel eyes pierced into mine immediately. He's hair fell on his face which made him look sexy. His shirt wasn't buttoned fully. I could see his abs through it. "Morning beautiful. How was your night?" He said and walked up to me. It was great. I need to hurry up, I'm late for school." He kissed my forehead and smiled. "I already parked your car over there so it will be easy for you to drive out in case you're late." I looked at him and blushed. "You're so cute. Your the best. I have to go now." I pecked his cheeks and turned to leave. "I will text you. Love you." He said. "Love you too." I opened the door and entered. I dropped my bag in the passenger sit. I started the engine and drove out. When I got to the gate, I took out my sunshade and wore it. The gate keeper opened the gate and I drove out. I connected my phone to the Bluetooth speaker and played say you won't let go by James arthur. I drove like a maniac.
Ryan and I have been friends since when I was seven. My dad found him on the street bullied by some group of thugs. He decided to help him since he didn't have parents. He's few days older than me. We became best friends when I was nine years old. When he clocked sixteen he told my dad he wanted to be a bodyguard. He was trained how to fight and all sorts of shit bodyguards do. Since he's a really fast learner he became my dad's favorite. He became the best fighter, also the smartest bodyguard. He was always present at the right time. No one knew how. My parents really trust him with me. My dad made him my bodyguard. Sometimes he comes to my room to have sleepover. He never passed his boundaries. We hung out almost everytime. Mostly because he was my bodyguard.
I stopped when the traffic light turned red. A jeep stopped beside mine. "Hey cutie. Nice ride." The guy driving who looked a bit older than me said. "Thanks." I said and drove off immediately then the light turned green. Few minutes later, I got to the front of the school parking lot. There were so many people in the there. They all turned their direction to me when I drove in. Most of them were gossiping to each other as they were looking at me. "Jobless bitches." I murmured. I turned off the engine and got down after taking my bag. I took out one of my phones and texted Ryan.
Me: Just got to school ☺️.
A minutes later he texted back.
Lifesaver: How's it?😏
Me: Sincerely am a bit nervous😰.
Lifesaver: It's gonna be okay, trust me.
Me: Tnx 😓.
Lifesaver: you can do it. Just don't look at anyone. Breathe in and out three times then go to the principal's office. Got it?
Me: Kk 😌. I have to go now.
Lifesaver: Ttyl ❤️.
Then, he want offline.
How was I going to walk in the midst of them without Ryan holding my hand. I was freaking out. I did what Ryan asked me to do. I walked into the school building with confidence. I entered the hallway and everyone turned to me. I took my phone out my phone and called Ryan. I placed my ear pods into my ear and waited for him to pick up. He picked after the first ring. "I knew u couldn't enter without me. I am just too cute." He said immediately. I smiled and walked to the front. "Just walk to the principal's office okay." He said. "I am trying my best. Can you stay with me on the phone till I leave, please?" "You know I can't do that. I will be a distraction." "Please, I really need you, won't you help your best friend?" I said in a cute voice. "Okay, okay, I've heard you." "Thanks." I almost scream and everyone looked at me weirdly. I felt a bit embarrassed but I kept moving straight looking for the principal's office. Someone tapped on my shoulder from my back and I grabbed the hand and twisted. "Ahh, fuck." The guy shouted. I left his hand and turned back. "I am so sorry I did that." He looked up and his hair fell on his face. "It's okay." He said. His voice was so deep and calm. "Are you okay?" I said worriedly. "Yeah." I took his left wrist and he jecked back in pain. "No you are not okay. I just twisted your wrist. We need to see the nurse." I said worriedly. "No, it's okay. I caused it. I startled you." He said in disappointment. "We still have to go to the nurse." "No I'm okay." I took his wrist and twisted it a little but he almost scream. "Fuck." He cursed. "I'll go myself." "No I will go with you." I said and he looked at me and smiled. "Okay." We walked together through the hallway. Everyone was staring at us. We got to the front of a door. I opened it A woman in lab coat walked up to us immediately. "What happened to you?" She asked. "Um," we both said. "I twisted my wrist when I was playing with my friends." He lied. "That isn't what happened ma'am. Well he scared me so I twisted his left wrist by mistake." I said sadly. "She didn't do it on purpose." He said immediately. "Sit on the bed let me check your wrist." He did as she said. "Is he okay?" Ryan said. I had forgotten that Ryan was still on the line. "Yeah he is. I hope so." I said and both the nurse and the guy looked at me. "Sorry, I'm talking to someone." I said and pointed at my earpod. The nodded with a quiet oh. "Is he okay?" I asked the nurse worriedly. "Yes, but he can't play basketball for a week." I was so sad for him. The nurse applied some ointment and wrapped bandage on his wrist. Her phone rang and she left to answer it. "I am so sorry for this." I said to him. "Nah, it's okay. It wasn't your fault." He said with a smile and the school bell rang. "I can't play basketball for a week and a competition between our school and another is next week." He said with full disappointment. "What have I done?" I said to myself. "Don't put the blame on yourself." Everywhere became quiet for some seconds. "What's your name?" He asked me. "My name is Ariana Roxy. What's yours?" "I'm Aiden Smith." I looked into his eyes for some time and I noticed how handsome he was. "Why did you tap me the other time?" I asked. "The principal asked me to show you around. He didn't even tell me your name. He just told me to treat you like a queen." He explained with a smile. "Yeah, my dad would have told him. He didn't tell you who my parents are, did he?" "Nope. Why?" I smiled to myself. "Just asking." I was so happy he didn't know. I don't want anyone to be around me because my parents are rich. "Nice one Riana. Now it's sounding like a movie to me." Ryan said. "Are you kidding me right now? I only asked for your help. I didn't say you can disturb me." I looked at Aiden and he was confused. "Sorry, I'm still on the phone with someone." "Oh ok." "Let's talk later." I said to Ryan. "Ok baby girl." "Before you hang up, I forgot to give sparkles, whiskers, sprinkles, jack, max, Bruno and Tracy their food. Pls can you help me feed them? You're the only one they are used to appart from me." "Okay I will." "Also when your done please close their door and activate the invisible laser." "Okay, is that all?" "Yeah. Thanks baby." "Yeah. You're welcome." " Ryan please don't forget to feed my babies." "I won't." " Okay thanks. Love you." "Love you too sweetie. Bye." "Bye." He hung up. "Your boyfriend?" Aiden asked. "Nah, he's my bestie." "Oh. So you love animals?" He said. "Yeah." "How many do you have?" "I have one snake, two cats and four dogs and I'm planning on getting a gold fish. Oh yeah, I have a tiger too and three birds." "Wow, I've never seen a girl like you before. You're strong and you love animals." He smirked. "I like you." I smiled back. "Thanks, I like you too. You're really calm and I feel so comfortable talking to you." "Thanks." The nurse came back and told us that we can go to our classes. Aiden got up from the bed and we both walked out of the sick bay. By the time we got out the hallway was empty. "How's your hand?" I asked "It's okay. Thanks for caring." "You're welcome." I said and smiled. "What class are you having first?" Brought out my phone and checked the schedule. "Apparently I'm having English first." "We are having the same class." Let's go before time goes." We both walked down the hallway and stopped at the front of a class. I started panicking. "Are you okay?" He asked worriedly. "Yeah, I'm just scared of meeting new people." He held my hands with his right hand since I have small hands. "You're going to do great. Just breathe in and out. All you just have to do is to introduce yourself to the class and the teacher will give you a sit, okay?" I felt relaxed a little. Then he held my left hand and opened the door. Everyone's attention moved from the teacher to us. "Why are you late Mr Smith?" The teacher said. "I had to go to the sick bay." He raised his left hand up for the teacher to see it. "Are you okay?" He asked him. "Yeah, thanks to her." "Isn't this the new damsel in our school? Pls ma'am introduce yourself to the class." He said to me. "Yeah, um hh...iii.." I was so nervous my hand started shaking. "Breathe in and out." Aiden said quietly without leaving my hand. I did as he said. "Hi everyone, my name is Ariana Roxy and I am delighted to meet you." "Well miss Roxy, you and Mr Smith are sit partners now. Go take your sit." I got stares from everyone and they began to gossip. Aiden and I went to take our seat and the class continued. The rest of the day went perfectly since I was with Aiden throughout.
