"UK bankers standing in a quagmire of international interests find themselves having to choose between East Europeans, the Irish, USA all looking to obtain a long term foothold, when a reputable bank of a certain standing suddenly finds itself a candidate for nationalisation. What's really at risk here, in my opinion is a failing of confidence of the people in their banking systems."
