Chapter 1
Sophia
At exactly 06:00am my alarm beeps and I open my eyes. Feeling my husband's hands in my waist, I smile, I love waking up in his arms like this everyday. "Good morning my love" he whispers in my ears, "good morning" I respond. "Can we sleep in today?" He asks and I chuckle. He really doesn't like waking up early In the morning
"No babe, but.... If you wake up now, I can give you little treat in the shower"
"I love the sound of that and am officially up" his response has me laughing.
After an hour we head downstairs for breakfast. As we start eating our kids Tisha and Ben and my niece Lisa join us.
"Good Morning mom and dad" they all greet us
"Morning my babies, how was your night, did you sleep well?"
"Yes mom, thanks"
"Good, now hurry and eat your food before you are late for school"
As we eat we chat about random things.
" Aunty I have a research project today after school so I won't come back home at the usual time. Kindly tell the driver to come pick me up at 4pm"
"Sure baby. Tisha, Ben, do u guys have anything you are doing at school after classes or you will be done by 1pm?" They both shake their heads "no"
Chris our driver walks in "good morning sir, good morning madam"
"Good morning Chris, how are you today?" Emmanuel greets him
"Am fine thank you sir. Ben, Lisa and Tisha, are you ready to head out?" The kids node and stand up
"Good morning Chris. So Lisa won't come back with you at 1pm, would please pick her up at 4pm" I inform him "of course madam" the kids give me a kiss on my cheek and hug their dad before they go.
Checking on his wrist watch, Emmanuel stands up "I must head off too my love. I need to be at the office by 09:00am. Are u sure there is no way you can cancel your meeting so you can attend the board meeting?"
"No my love, it won't seat well with the parents if I cancel on last minute. You can just update me on the discussion and the outcome later" he nodes and walks over to me and plants a kiss on my lips "I love you" he says 'I love you too, have a nice day at work" I respond.
"You too"
After everyone is gone, I too head out for work. My husband and I have been married for 15 years now. I got married when I was 20years old. Our son Ben is 15 and Tisha is 13 turning 14. We didn't waste time in having Tisha after Ben though we did not have much then. I took in Lisa when she was jst 5 years old after her mother my sister passed away, my husband and I have raised her and she's now 15years Old.
My husband and I have built our wealth from scratch, we both come from a humble background but through hard work we own businesses and are living a comfortable or luxurious life now. We own one of the most reputable primary schools in the country and I run it. Teaching is my profession and I have a heart for it. We also own 60% of shares in a macro leading institution and my husband is the CEO. Our business has grown, we have branches in many parts of the country and we are still expanding.
Our marriage has been full of bliss and happiness. We complete each other. Ours is a happy home
