Chapter one

He fell to his knees; his dark shaggy hair fall around his face as he looked up the raining night sky.

“What more do I have to lose?” He felt the rain blend in with his tears.

“You have me.” A woman softly spoke as stood in front of him.

He shifted his attention up to the red head woman, he could see the rain had soaked her clothes, her hair stuck around her head.

He shook his head “I don’t.” His voice broke as he spoke.

She knelt down in front of him, placed her hand on his bearded jawline.

He couldn’t tell if she had tears forming in her eyes or if the rain was catching on her eyelashes, he noticed her lips turning purple from the cold breeze.

“Marshall, you will always have me.” She tried to reassure him.

Marshall felt like a broken man; a man who felt like society had turned their back on. He felt his head fall onto her shoulder, she wanted to wrap her arms around him but couldn’t.

She shifted her gaze up to the trio of males in suits standing behind Marshall.

She lowered her gaze down to his wet black hair.

“Listen Marshall, I’ll always be by your side but right now it’s getting cold.” She whispered.

Marshall looked up; he could see it in her eyes. She was trying to care even though he found it hard to admit as he gazed into her green eyes that were starting to show hints of grey.

“I’m sorry.” Marshall whispered in her ear. He slowly rose to his feet.

She watched as her best friend was lead away by the trio of males, she watched as Marshall was helped into the back seat of a black car.

She knew what Marshall life was, but this wasn’t him. She couldn’t understand why he had gone this far without uttering a single word to her.

TopazHorizon: What a sweet love story! I loved all the little stories from their childhood and teenhood. It really gave depth to their very fast love story. It made sense! I love how their parents were part of the story, too. I love how Theo is so gentle with her, like she's fragile... And yet so bossy in bed hah...
