1_KAY

Kay lies on his back upon the hard rocky ground. He opens his eyes as lightning lights the caved area around him. His eyes unnaturally glisten appearing as though technology may be implanted within them. He grunts as he lifts his upper body from the ground with his left arm. He looks around and sees a few cases and bags scattered around him. He doesn’t walk far until he comes into view of the Gates city that towers above him through the sky. Back to where he woke up he opens a case to find an arrangement of supplies. Another case contains food which instantly vaporises upon opening. Kay doesn’t walk far when in the distance he sees something hidden under the sand like it had been there for a long time. A mysterious box with a much more different sophisticated look to it. He opens it to see a strange looking red watch, he takes the watch out of the box to examine it closer. It suddenly starts glowing and burns his fingers. He lets go of it in a sharp motion of pain and steps back. It continues to glow brighter and brighter as he takes further steps back. Eventually it starts to shake and produce a loud sharp sound. He looks afraid and turns to run. Kay doesn’t get far when the watch powerfully flies through the air grasping onto his right arm. He falls onto his stomach looking up at it his wrist. The watch is now motionless and appears normal when suddenly it starts spinning and glowing again. His skin around the watch starts to intensely burn forcing him to scream in pain. He tries to take it off but it does not budge. His veins around his wrist and hand begin to glow a bright red. Eventually the watch suddenly returns to its normal state. Kay panting and moaning looks up at the watch to see it’s digital display turn on. ‘89:27’. He looks at it shocked as it then changes, ‘89:26’.
