Entered The Village
The beauty of the land was overwhelming, Ajoke could not believe all this tradition still exit and people still kept them.
When Ajoke company chooses her to be among the people that will go on tour, she did everything in her power to pass it on to someone else. Ajoke life was quiet and kinda boring, she find pleasure in simple things in life, like nature and all those boring stuff. When she heard the tour will take them on a village, she tried to excuse herself, but it was too late her name was already on the list.
Scanning her surroundings, she knew that was definitely a strange land.
They were welcome by multitude of people from the village. They welcome them with open arms and the village elder appointed a woman in her forties to host them. Her name was Ajibike.
The house that was prepared for them was big enough to contain all 17 of them that went on the tour.
Everyone has a room. Ajoke was surprised and curious why was such a big house in a village like that and empty.
Everyone enters into their room and started unpacking. Ajoke entered into her room and was amazed by the deco and the strange writings and drawing on the wall.
"What the meaning of this? " Ajoke asked.
"It nothing." Ajibike replied.
"Are you sure? "
"Yes madam. People of this town don't have education knowledge, it most be the last people who were here that wrote them."
"But this is not even English?"
"Many people from many countries do come to our village because of our culture. Many people come to amused themselves by what God has blessed us with. You will have a wonderful time in this place. Trust me, the experience you will get here, you will not forget it in an hurry."
"Hm, Ajoke replied, looking around. "I'm looking forward to it."
"Let me leave you to rest. I will come pick all of you in 4 hours time. Wear something very comfortable and cover your body because of the cold."
"Thank you very much."
Ajibike left. Scanning her surroundings, the writing on the wall seems so strange, but she took Ajibike words for it.
Fours hours later Ajibike came and picked all of them. They were all amazed that night from the culture of the villagers: Their drinks, foods, dance. It was so relaxing to leave the world of Instagram to a place where there was no internet and still be entertain that much.
Four days past, and everyday was so different from others, at least that was how it seems. Ajoke started noticing some strange things around the house. For example, he saw some old chair that was facing down in the backyard, she went over there and picked it up, sat on it for couple of hours before Ajibike came to pick them up—only to get there the second day and found it exactly the way it was before: dirty like it hasn't been touched in years and facing down. It almost like everything was repeating itself. As she stood by looking at the chair, 'Dele came behind her and said, "This can't be... "
"What can't be? " Ajoke asked.
"That rope?"
"What happened to it? "
"I unknot that rope yesterday, and trow it away."
"You did? "
"Yes, am sure of it."
"You know the same with that chair, I have clean that chair twice now, and every time I came back, I found it like that."
"Something strange is going on in this place. I don't know what it is, but am not comfortable."
"Yea... Me too."
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" A shout of terror came from the inside. Dele and Ajoke rushed in, found everyone on a circle, surrounding something, they went closer only to see one of them in pool of blood, with a strange dagger dug in his chest.
"What happened? Ajoke asked.
Did anyone see anything?"
Everyone nodding their head saying no.
"He was just here, he said he was hearing voices from his room, and he came out." Labake said.
Ajoke, Dele, Akorede and Labake went into his room and saw on the wall "You are number one" written in blood.
"Is this some kind of joke, who is doing this?" Akorede said.
Ajoke and Dele exchange a look. "We need to get help. Dele said.
"We need to go get Ajibike, something is so going on here." Ajoke said.
"We can't go anywhere, it raining heavily outside." Labake said.
"Then we wait, there is someone doing this." Akorede said.
"Let's everyone calm down. For now don't let us spread panic." Dele said.
They stepped out of the room, to the center of the house where the body was.
"Let us all go to our room, luck the doors and wait for morning where we can get help." Ajoke said.
Everyone separated and went to their rooms. Dele and Ajoke stayed behind. "Something is going on in this place?" Dele said.
"Yes, but right now there is nothing we can do until we see the town people. Go to your room, lock your door and don't come out till morning."
"I'm about to tell you the same thing."
