Chapter 1/Intro
Everything seemed to go quite. No sound. No light. Just an endless void. There was nothing to grasp as it all went dark.
Two Days Earlier
"Macy wake up!".....Beep....Beep...Beep...."IM UP!"
I woke up to the sound of my roommate yelling for me to get up. A wonderful way to start the day don't you think. Today is a just another boring Monday.
I hoped into shower letting the hot water steam up the bathroom. The water soaking my long amber hair. The scent of my strawberry shampoo filling the room.
I reluctantly got out of the shower to finish getting ready for the long day ahead. If you ever get to work a office job seven times a week, don't take it.
Slipping on my black basic pencil skirt and white blouse. I got ready to achieve the dreaded no make up, make up look. I finally finished it with light blush with a mini smoked wing and a fluffy lash.
Heading out the door I quickly grabbed my purse and shoes for the day. Locking up behind me. I ended up rushing to catch the train to work.
The train ran from east side of burbank to the west where my office is. The building stand at 14 floors high and I have the pleasure of having the best floor view. Floor 14.
The build is covered in beautiful glass and metal. It over looks all the buildings below. One of the tallest building built so far. I'm sure in a few years it'll be double that.
Once you walk into the building the floors are lined with marble. The walls covered in painting and a basic eggshell white painted behind them. Silver hardware throughout the buildings levels.
I headed to the beautiful mirrored elevators. "14 please" The elevators were always packed with other coworkers. The glow of button 14 looked back at me as I waited to arrive at the floor.
Present time
I walked what felt like forward. Waiting to see anything.
Any light.
Any color.
Any sound.
Anything at all.
I tried to call out only to be met by more silence. Nothing seemed to escape from my mouth. I tried harder only to met with more silence. Panicking of why I can't speak,hear,or even see anything.
I ran.
I ran till my body burned and cried for me to stop but I couldn't. I couldn't stop till I found light or sound. The darkness seemed to move with me.
Surrounding me....
