Chapter 1: pink

She was impatient because he wasn’t there yet. So she sprinted to the pink sets. Quickly in and out because she wanted to do other shopping.

Finally there he was, or rather it. Because “it” mainly serves as a pay machine. She knows what she wants, grabs the set and leaves. She likes the rose-colored one with the hearts, but that’s for another draining session, not now.

trained like a dog

Next store, she grabs anything she can get her hands on that is pink and he carries it around like a mule. Because not only does he have to pay but he has to carry everything. Princesses don’t do anything now, outside of getting their way. He has to take care of that.

She fits it, he looks from afar and the corners of his mouth pull up. She’s figured it out he tries to hide it. Because he knows she doesn’t like him being too elated in public or grieving in front of the cash register. She hates that.

Paying

She doesn’t look at the price so she doesn’t know how much the total will be. Somehow she finds it exciting, not knowing what the little number at the cash register will say. Not knowing how much she is over budget. Not knowing how much pain he will be in.

Blue stuff

That he won’t have any that day gradually became clear. She chooses a drink that she thinks is going to taste horrible, but he thought it was ok. Better luck next time. He enjoys her voice, the way she walks and talks. That is his reward for financial draining and the undergoing that goes with it.

If the shoe fits

She doesn’t stand still and knows what she wants. Especially with shopping. When she has something in her head, she doesn’t let it go.

Power is not about leather suits with whips or yelling but on being heard even if you talk quietly. Saying with a smile ” wear this, pay, go get a drink,” and getting it done. She knows she’s not an aggressive dom and she doesn’t mind. It’s not her style.

After wandering around the store for a long time, there they are. The most beautiful shoes, already molded. She sees her again speechless. They are perfect. Only her toes were not lacquered pink otherwise it would have been completely perfect.

Food

She was hungry, very hungry. She chose and walked towards it. He follows her like a well-trained dog. He talks about work, she thinks about all the nice clothes she had just “bought”. Another expensive drink because sitting in one place for a long time makes her nervous, “Am I going to see you in that set?” Stupid stupid stupid question she thought because he already knows the answer to that, though for once he was hoping for a different answer.

She asks him to walk to the station even though she can do it perfectly well on her own. It’s the effort that gives her a thrill. He knows he shouldn’t go with her, so does she. Yet he does.

She sits on train. Satisfied, he partly. Because secretly he wanted her to come home with him. Humiliated him with all the things he does for her because he’s so weak sometimes.

Yet she still has the cape and purse on her mind....

mariedavismd312: This was Avery spiritual read. The last 2 chapters where very disappointing. That was such a let down unless there is a sequel. Burgess should have been punished for what he did. There was no explanation for his hatred for Jeremiah. I figured he was being set but just had the wrong person. I loved ...
