It’s finally time!
The first day of my new job in another country. I still can’t believe my uncle owns this company and asked if I can intern here. Just to clarify, I not a trust fund baby who is fed with a golden spoon but I worked very hard to get here where I am today.
At the age of 21 I’ve gotten my business degree and is now working my first intern job at my uncle’s company called CM Entertainment.
To be honest I don’t really know what I’m going to do here but it’s a start of my new life .It’s my first time away from home and I’m a little scared of this new place with new people. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t necessary…
When I arrived yesterday my uncle’s driver picked me up and dropped me off at my temporary ‘home’. Everyone spoke a different language that I didn’t understand but uncle said that I’ll get used to it and didn’t have to learn it.
This morning the same driver picked me up with my uncle in the car. “How was your first night here in Seoul, Michelle?” “I didn’t get to see much but there were a lot of people staring at me for no reason.” as I said that he gave a bark and muttered, “These people tend to do that to foreigners. Don’t think too much about it”
It was quiet for a while when he suddenly beamed, “I really hope you enjoy it here, you are just going to help the managers. If there is any problem just come find me. Some of the managers knows that we are family but I didn’t tell everyone because I know you will feel uncomfortable. When we get there, there will be a manager waiting for you and you will be given further instructions.”
I smiled at the idea of helping them and replied, “Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity, I won’t let you down!” “I know you won’t let me down. I fully trust you.” And with that said the car stilled and he opened the door and walked away leaving me in the car. I took a deep breath and opened the door, off to my new life, not knowing that this will be a beautiful nightmare.
