Chapter 1
Inside a underground laboratory in a desolated area.......
"Hahaha!!! Our biochemical weapon has finally been created!!!" Han Xia laughed earnestly.
"It still has to go through so many tests before finally been put to use." Mr Chin said calmly.
"But at least we have created our weapon.Ha,the other countries won't know what hit them when they see us bringing out our troops.We have to make more!"
Mr Chin didn't answer hurriedly gobbling up his dinner.
Han Xia did the same,the sound of slurping filling the air.The two researchers finished eating and returned their plates.They leisurely walked back to their lab amid the noises coming from behind the doors of the other labs.
"I can't wait to leave this place and go home.Thankfully,that project has almost been completed."
"We still have to run some tests though.And then if possible,make more." Mr Chin shot down Han's hopes.
But he too felt the same.He wanted to leave this place so badly.He wanted to see his wife...his kids....
He knew his wife resented him.For fear of slipping and revealing more of what he does,he had to restrict himself.He hardly called his wife and even when he did,it was short phone calls that didn't last an hour.He knew she suspected him of cheating but it was necessary.After all,his job was a top military secret which couldn't be revealed.It was the government's top weapon against other countries.If the other countries caught wind of it,it could cause a war or worse.
Suddenly,the sound of panicked footsteps hitting against the ground reached them.
"Mr Chin! Mr Han!" The young assistant who had been working alongside the project ran up to them.
"What is wrong?" Mr Chin,knew something was up immediately."Where is Chen?" The second assistant.
"He is in the lab.The specimen......It...It..."
"What happened?" Mr Chin felt chills and grabbed the boys hands.
"I don't know! It just suddenly started began to misbehave.....the data are going off..... failing......"
Mr Chin took off running.His heart hung in his lungs as he thought of what could have gone wrong.If this project failed........
He reached the lab and slowly pushed open the door.What he saw frightened his soul away.Till the day he died,he would never forget this day.
The specimen,a young man,stood with his back against the door.Mr Chin approached him slowly.
They had been trying to create a weapon,a human weapon.Enhanced speed,strength,hearing and vision.The project was still underway and they had yet to fully test out the capabilities of this weapon.
So,Mr Chin didn't know what to expect.He slowly but surely stepped up to the man and placed his hand on his shoulder.
The shoulders were shaking and it's body moved in an abnormal way.
Mr Chin could smell blood.His heart tightened as he exerted pressure and turned the man around.
And gasped.
Blood dripped down the man's lips.His eyes were milky and glassy,giving off an eerie feeling.
Mr Chin looked down to what the man was holding in his hands........
And saw the head of the second assistant.
The body was in the floor,still fresh and the specimen had been nibbling on it.
"God." From behind,Mr Chin heard Han Xia cry out.
The specimen smiled and opened it's mouth.A row of bloody,shark like teeth greeted Mr Chin's sight.
"Oh Christ." He moaned.
The specimen roared loudly and the lab shook.
"Han." Mr Chin said calmly."Hit the alarm button."
