Chapter 1

As most Americans celebrate the Independence for which few had to fight, I look around and see so much darkness.

.

It's in the faces of so many young people.

I see them walk the streets.

They are not free.

Their lives ripped by parents addicted to drugs, alcohol, and other vices. Divorce, even by those claiming Jesus, leaves a mark of hopelessness. Unhappy in their choices, they change partners believing happiness will come. But, no matter the situation, happiness, if experienced, is fleeting.

A loneliness around others.

A sadness in the abyss of failed expectations. Narcissistic, they blame all but themselves. Never admitting fault, they never understand their destructive behavior.

"I guess I'm the ONLY one who doesn't get to be happy," they Cry!

Putting on a face that reflects not the inside, but one that is representative of who they want others to see.

I want.

I want.

I want.

I want.
