Dropout

My name is Archibald Hendrickson but people call me Archie so they can differentiate my name from my non-fraternal twin, Archinald. I'm currently fifteen and I was currently going into the sixth-form of the Magic Academy called the 'The Mango Academy' and this academy mainly focuses on nature magic.

The basic things we learned in the Mango Academy is that, magic is the processed version of mana made by humans which we use in a variety of ways. To heal, to hurt or defend and to advance.

This is was going to be my last year at the Mango Academy and I was looking forward to teaching there in the years to come but things didn't really go according to anyone's plan. Our world was suddenly introduced to mana beasts a few days ago and we were not ready. A lot of people died and I mean a lot and now suddenly mage guilds, which were illegal a few years ago, now regulated are recruiting to fight against these beasts.

Currently today is Wednesday the sixth day of July and I'm applying to the guild called the Melting Pot. It's a guild formed by mostly Caribbean nationals and they are looking for a nature mage.

...

"Five feet ten inches, dark skinned, dark brown eyes, slightly chubby, and a strong arsenal with nature affinity spells. Archibald you surely getting this job." The interviewer said enthusiastically.

"Thank you sir."

"Alright we will have your uniform prepared by tomorrow and lets hope you don't get eaten up in the field." He said while smiling.

"Flipping crazy." I whispered through my teeth.

I left gracefully and as I was walking out of the guild's building I saw Akaylia one of my classmates. Her hair was fluffy but shiny, her skin light brown and smooth, her lids were sharpened akin to a dagger and her eyes a honey brown. She was beautiful to say the least.

"Hi Lia."

"Hey Archie." She replied while moving for a hug.

I returned the sentiment. We hugged, like how bros hugged. Right hands met in the middle, and the left hands almost awkwardly over each others shoulders. I switched it to a regular hug.

"Well I'll see you when I see you Lia."

"Same! I'll call you later!" She replied while running into the building.

"Well that was weird. Welp time to go see if my brother had any luck."

I dialed his number in my phone.

"Hey Naldi. Got it?"

"Yessir!" He exclaimed.

I let a howl of joy on my walk to the bus station and as expected people looked at me like I was a dumb f***.

"Welp, I'm going home later."

"See you there." He replied.

Today was a good day.
