Prologue
Max opens his eyes, and checks to see of Izume is still asleep before getting up. Standing in front of the window is a woman with pale skin, black hair, and pale gray eyes. She wears a pale yellow T-shirt, and skinny jeans.
“Izume!” He shouts, pulling a dagger from his pocket.
The woman looks to him saying. “You are sleeping, Maxwell.”
“Eredael? What’s going on?” He asks.
The woman nods, answering. “We need to talk son.”
The man closes his eyes, and nods. When he opens his eyes he’s standing in the woods near the Crystal Caverns. Which he finds ironic, because he has always felt drawn to these woods. Though he never knew why, considering through the beginning of his childhood he was used to the city setting.
In the blink of an eye, a large area of the woods is scorched in blinding white light, with an extremely loud ringing sound. Though, it comes as a surprise that even though the sound is deafeningly loud, it doesn’t seem to impair his hearing.
He looks around noticing that all the plant life was completely destroyed, with no signs of ash. Even more surprising is the fact that there’s no sign that there was ever a fire, just the dirt.
“What happened here?” He asks, startled at the sight.
Eredael gestures to the opening, saying. “Watch.”
The center of the blast zone has what appears to be a gateway. From the center of the blast zone greenery rapidly appears, spreading, and regrowing the woods. Max’s startled look turns into a baffled one.
“What just happened?” He asks.
In understanding the entity answers. “Destruction, and creation. An archangel is among the few beings who can smite so totally that nothing organic is left behind. But such power comes with a radiant flow that causes the regeneration of the organic life in it’s purest form.”
“Why show me this?” The man asks.
Eredael turns to him explaining. “I came at the request of the one who purified me. That gateway will give you a riskless chance to retrieve the missing piece of your soul.”
“Missing piece? What are you talking about?” He asks.Start writing here…
