My alarm goes off at 5:30 every morning.
I reluctantly pull myself out of bed, every morning
I eat breakfast, every morning
I walk to school, every morning
I sit through boring lectures and endure through teen drama, every day
I do my homework, every night
I go to practice, every day
I endure through training, every night
I go home and crash at around 3 in the morning, every night
And I’m back to the same schedule every day, in and out.
See any problem with this? I do, a huge one: I’m almost invisible. I say ‘almost’ because there is only one person who does see me, Kaitlyn French. She has set out to make my life miserable, ever since she started to date my step-brother, who really doesn’t care about me at all, or if her torment goes too far.
But there is a little light in my invisible existence, my friends; Josie, Marlin, Hector, and Darcy, and my dog, Blue.
My mom tries her hardest to make me feel better, but nothing helps except the summers I spend with my dad in California. So, my mom let me do this last year of high school in California, this should be different. A chance to reinvent myself and start fresh.
