Mr. Boss Man

I knew that dad had a girlfriend, I didn’t know that he had already married her, that she had a daughter and they had moved in. Imagine how surprised I was to come home for the summer from college and find some girl roaming around the house.

“Who the fuck are you?”

She jumped and spun around, “excuse me?”

Taking a step closer, “I said who the fuck are you.”

“Skylar.”

“Why are you in my house?”

“I live here. Who are you?”

My eyes widened, ”you’re his girlfriend? Are you even legal?” I knew that dad liked them on the younger side but never this young. Don't get me wrong, she's kind of hot but the thought of her and my father is gross and I shiver at the thought.

“Eww, no,” making a face, “I’m Amelia’s daughter and if you must know, I’m seventeen.”

A wave of relief hit me, “thank god.”

“I’m guessing you’re the famous Jenson?”

“I didn’t realize dad talked about me that much,” getting a little cocky.

She laughed, “we graduated from the same high school, I know all about you.”

I don’t remember seeing her, she’s clearly only a year or two younger than I am and she’s not ugly either. I didn’t realize she had left until I heard the front door shut.

“Certainly wasn’t expecting that,” I mumbled to myself as I carried my bag to my room.

After a shower I debated on what to do and settled on relaxing and watching some television.

“I wasn’t expecting you home until tomorrow son.”

Looking up I see dad and, I’m assuming, Amelia walk through the front door. I can see the resemblance between mother and daughter.

“Got an earlier flight.”

“Did you meet your sister yet?”

“You mean the step-sister that I didn’t even know about? I did.”

Dad smirked at my comment, “minor detail.”

“A detail that would’ve been nice to know ahead of time.”

“The two of you will have plenty of time to get to know each other,” wrapping his arm around Amelia’s shoulder, “we are merging with her fathers company and once college is done, the two of you will be running it together.”

So that’s why he married her. My mother died when I was two and though he’s had a string of relationships with attractive women he’s never remarried, until now.

“Can’t wait.”

I knew exactly who Jenson Ryder was before I knew that mom was marrying his dad, a playboy. He was a couple years ahead of me in school and he had a reputation. Captain of the football team, a body that looked like god himself carved him and money, lots of money. Add those together and it’s no wonder the girls were throwing themselves at him, more than willing to have sex behind the bleachers.

I also knew that he was coming home for the summer and had every intention of ignoring him, he was one cocky bastard in high school and I doubt that has changed.

“I’m just saying that the two of you should spend some together, you’re going to be working together.”

“I still have to graduate college first mom,” of all the companies to merge with, it had to be the one his father owned.

She sighs, “I just can’t believe you’re in college already.”

I took summer classes graduating a year early and plan to get my degree in three years rather than four. Yes, I know I’m a nerd.

“Try to get your nose out of the books once in a while and have some fun.”

“I’m not taking any classes this summer, just going to hang out and relax.”

“There’s nothing wrong with having some fun,” she winks at me.

I may be young and somewhat of a nerd, but I'm not exactly an innocent little girl anymore and she knows that. We have a very open relationship.
