Harper Detroit is a normal 15-year-old teenage girl. She has average grades and is not athletic. Unlike her best friend Hannah Finley who is the most popular and is the pride and joy of Athens academy. It’s quite funny how they are best friends because they are literally opposites. Harper is short and dark-haired, has no friends, except Hannah, and barely speaks to anyone. Hannah on the other hand is tall and blonde. She is currently trying to flirt with the captain of the soccer team Dallas Lorenzo. Rich, popular, and the worst part he loves Harper.

“I know who would love a girl like her,” said Sarah Wilbur disgusted.

Sarah Wilbur, her mother, is a model. Everyone expects her to be the same thing as her mother. Growing up in this environment where everyone criticized you was toxic. Probably that’s why she became a bully in middle school.

*school bell rings*

“Guess it’s time to relive my life again,” said Prince.

Prince Wilbur brother of Sarah Wilbur. Unlike his sister, he grew up with his father so he’s at least a bit better.

“Okay, in today’s class we will be learning about the American civil war,” cheered Mrs. Talia.

*class groans*

“Then, after 9:00 A.M., We are going to watch the first school soccer game of the season,” muttered Mrs. Talia, obviously upset that she couldn’t teach us today.

The game started and the Spartans were off to a good start, but Athens’ own assistant captain, Liam, took the lead!

“Everyone says that he’s going to take Dallas’s place as captain this year,” Hannah said sadly.

“What’s wrong?” Harper whispered.

“I think Dallas is better than Liam,” explained Hannah,” just because Liam’s better does not mean he should take Dallas’s place.

“But isn’t that the reason he should be the captain,” Sarah said as she rolled her eyes.

Liam was watching the three girls carefully and so was Dallas. The two boys’ eyes met. They were best of friends but the only thing they were waiting to hear was who Harper liked. As the two girls fought over who was better, Harper looked away to see the two boys staring at her. They all looked at each other. Then she gave them her best glare and left for her next class.

*Enter school acting directors*

“Okay, for the play we need to decide roles,” Peter inquired.

“I shall play the role of Pyramus and as well as Thisbe,” Nick exclaimed, “Or maybe the lion!”

“The play will be performed by the children so there shall be no parts for us,” Peter said,” but if anyone is sick, we maybe we can act for their roles.”

As Peter, Nick, Samuel, Finn, Stephen, and Shawn decided the parts, the principal was having a hard time deciding who would be president of the school.

“Why don’t we hold elections? It’s what most schools do for trying to find kids for the student council,” said Talia, “or we could just skip the whole act of it.”

“No, we need a student council to take care of school fundraisers and other school activities,” exclaimed Hylia.

“We could hold a school game to decide,” Trevor suggested with doubt they would listen to him.

“Good idea we could ask the parents to hold it for now till,” Principal Oliver said.

In another part of the school as the girls chatted and spoke, Harper sat in the corner reading her favorite book by Shakespeare.

“Ouch,” squeaked Harper,” who threw that?”

“Sorry,” exclaimed Liam,” I didn’t see you there.”

Harper glared at him so hard that she was pretty sure her eyes were about to pop out.

“You know that you are not that intimidating,” murmured Liam, “Oh god now you actually glaring, anyways head to the forest at the end of the day and read the letter I threw at your head.”

As he walked away Harper questioned his actions. Usually, no one spoke to her. She picked up her book and the letter. The forest was far away so she had to start now.

*Enter Dallas with Hannah*

“So you overheard Liam with Harper speaking about going to the forest right?” inquired Dallas, “and you think he is going to confess his love to her.”

“About confessing love umm, I kind of like you,” murmured Hannah shyly.

As she waited for his reply. Dallas tried not to look into her eyes. It hadn’t been the first time someone confessed their love to him. Though he felt really shy talking about it. Five seconds of silence turned into minutes. At this point, Hannah thought he didn’t want to tell her she liked her so she hugged Dallas’s arm.

“So you do like me?,” said Hannah cheerfully.

Dallas looked down and said straight to her,” I don’t like you; I like your best friend.”

“Harper?! but I’m so much better than her and I love you a lot!” said Hannah, now crying from getting rejected.

“But I don’t.”

Crack! At that moment Harper arrived from the bushes with Liam coming next. Hannah rushed at her only to get blocked by Liam.

“What’s going on?” Harper yelped as Hannah pushed Liam aside and tried to attack her.

“Your pesky little insect I was your best friend and yet you betrayed me.”

“I didn’t betray anyone

You accuse me with no reason at all!”

“Quiet and tell us what happened.”

At that very moment Dallas spoke up after being quiet for so long,” nothing happened she just attacked her.”

There was a long awkward silence. They all decided to go home and talk tomorrow. Little did they know someone was watching them.

*Enter twin fairies, Prince and Sarah*

“Poor Hannah, she just loved him. I will have to do something about this,” said Prince.

“But what can we do? We are just fairies watching over mortal students,” said Sarah with a sigh,” It’s not like we can make Dallas fall in love with Hannah.”

“I thought we could do just that,” said Prince,” there is a flower that grows on the edge of the forest if we can retrieve that and make them fall in love.”

But they are leaving, and we cannot stop them,” Sarah exclaimed.

“We can’t stop them, but we can make them wait, cast a spell to make the forest foggy so they can’t leave.”

*Re-enter Liam, Harper, Dallas, and Hannah*

“I am tired and cannot go any longer. Let’s rest here for the night,” said Hannah out of breath,” we can start again at the crack of dawn.”

*Enter prince*

“Darn it is so foggy I cannot see anything, "said Prince,” I think this is the boy.”

Now as Prince began to place the petals in his mouth his sister watched from afar. Sarah felt as if something was out of place, so as she waited for her brother to be done, she collected the antidote.

*Lovers wake up*

“Good morning, Hannah, you are looking wonderful today,” replied Liam.

As Harper and Dallas stared at each other in shock Hannah said with the most confused tone, "What do you mean I thought you love Harper?”

“What?!” shouted Harper

“I don’t like her, I like you, "said Liam.

As everyone stared at each other confused, Dallas said, "So Harper is mine?”

“Yes, for I have no use of her.”

Suddenly Harper screamed at Hannah in a way she had never done before, "What did you do? Why does he love you? Liam used to love me yesterday!”

As the two girls were fighting. Sarah, who had witnessed everything, went to her brother and pinched his nose.

“You gave it to the wrong boy now Liam is in love with Hannah, "said Sarah in a threatening tone.

“What! But I was sure I had placed it in Dallas’s mouth.”

“Sure, you did, now fix it!”

“Okay, okay make the fog roll in again and I will do it for the right boy.”

As soon as the fog rolled in Sarah placed a sleeping spell on them, so they went straight to sleep. Prince then made Dallas eat the petals as Sarah watched from afar.

“Oh no! "Sarah squeaked, "I forgot to give the antidote to fix Liam!”

Sarah ran to her brother hoping she had not removed the spell, but it was too late the lovers were already arising from their second sleep.

“I forgot to give you the antidote to reverse Liam’s love.”

“Well at least Harper does not love him, "said Prince.

“Yes, she does, god you’re so ignorant.”

“Here, places a spell on them and give them the antidote.”

*Gives antidote*

You do realize it needs the petals, right? I guess I will go collect some. Can you get them tired? I cannot roll in the fog again. "said Prince with a sigh.

Prince left to get the petals as Sarah spoke to them in their voices.

“Hannah I really like to say this but I lo-” said Dallas cut off from the rest of his sentence since he heard some voices.

“Hello Harper, I really want to speak to with you privately follow me.” (Liam)

“You are a horrible friend I hate you, Hannah.”(Harper)

“Dallas, I really like you follow me, and I’ll tell you more.” (Hannah)

As all of them left Liam watched in horror. He decided they must have gone to get supplies for the trip out of this place. He lied down on the grass thinking of fair Hannah. Then everything went black.

“That was easy and look here Prince is returning with the antidote, "said Sarah happy that it would soon be over.

She placed the antidote in his mouth and chanted a spell that would remove all its effects.

*Fairy twins exit*

Everyone comes back and sits around Liam. After he wakes up he explains he was hit on the head. They all comfort him. Hannah asks the question “does he like her?” for she was planning to reject him. But thankfully the effects of the potion were gone so he went back to being his normal self.

“No, I don’t love you, "said Liam, obviously confused.

“Don’t worry everything is fine now, "replied Harper with a sigh.

Then they all collapsed in the open grassy clearing in the middle of the forest.

The next day at school Dallas asked Hannah out. While Principal Oliver said, "Kids these days,” with a shake of his head.

Principal Oliver did manage to arrange the game, Liam became captain of the soccer team, and the play directors did have their play at the end of the year.

Liam didn’t ask Harper out immediately, but he did do it eventually.
