Chapter 1
A young man named Ravindranath was living in a big city with his family. He was
having a wife and two children, father in a well settled house. His father was
looking very old & he was not able to see properly due to eye sight. His mother
had been died due to cancer. His father was always holding a photo which was his
childhood friend’s photo.
One day night everyone were sitting in the dining hall for the dinner. Has they
started eating the dinner his father was not able to eat properly has the food falls
down from the table. Ravindranath and his wife gets angry on him and starts
scolding him nicely and warns him that in two days he is going to put him to an
orphanage as he is not able to take care of him and leave india as soon as
possible.
Next day, Ravindranath gets salary for his job he calls everyone to the hotel
expect his father as he was very old that he could not walk. His children requested him to take grand father also to the hotel. On children’s request he accepted to
take his father also.
At evening, whole family went to the hotel. After having seats there Ravindranath
calls the waiter and orders the food.
In that same hotel a son named Vittal enters with his father to the hotel. After
getting seated there. Vittal calls the waiter and orders food.
Father was old and weak because of this while eating food, his father dropped
food on his shirt and pant.
After a while vittal starts calmly feeding the food to his father, other diners sitting
there looked at them with disgust. Every one sitting there were watching them
with disgust, as father was not able to eat properly and dropping food. Even
ravidranath’s family were also looking towards them, but Vittal didn’t seem to be
embarrassed by all this.
After they finished eating, Vittal quietly took his father to wash room, wiped the
food dropped on his shirt and pant, combed his hairs and fitted his spectacles
firmly.
When they came out of washroom, all dinners sitting there watched them in dead
silence and were not able to grasp how someone could embarrass themselves
publicly like that as they were close to each other!!!
Vittal pays the bill and was walking out of the hotel with his father.
At that time, Ravindranath’s father calls vittal and stops him, as everyone in the
hotel were staring at Ravindra’s father and said to Vittal, “Don’t you think you
have left behind something??”
Vittal replied, “No sir, I haven’t..”
Ravindranath’s father retorted, “Yes you have…!! You have left a lesson for every
son and hope for every father…”
Ravindranath asks who was he speaking to then his father replies him “See my
dear son this young man name is Vittal and this is father who is my friend, we
were childhood friends the photo who I hold his photo. This Vittal looks after his
father because his father is blind and brain tumor from long years back”.
As Ravindranth bows down his head and ran towards his father bow down and
starts crying and tightly hugs him and apologize for his behavior late night.
Ravindranath gets more emotional and hugs Vittal and takes blessings from his
father and Vittal’s father and promises to him that he would take care of his
father.
At finally they live happily each other.
Dad has been an ever-present force of love, support and guidance in your life, it
can be hard to know just the right words to express your gratitude and admiration
when it comes time to honor him on Father’s Day.
