Intro

I sometimes wonder how I got here.

Living the live I always wanted. Got my dream job and live with my dog Zena in a beautiful house just a few minutes out of town.

I’m a 27-year-old, 1,75m tall, blonde, blue eyed, single female. I like parties, but at the same time I don’t. Too crowded. I’m more like the beach party kinda person. I live at the beach. Like right at the beach. When I wake up in the morning first thing, I see is the sea. There’s no better place on earth for me.

Six years ago, I graduated from police academy and found my place in my unit. Well, at least I think I did.

Anyways, it’s summer so people are in a good mood when we pull them over. I’d be in a good mood too if I was on vacation. I actually could use some days off, even tho I just got back from two weeks with Zena and my camper in Norway. Hiking. Exploring. Just Zena and me.

Car after car gets pulled over. Last time I checked it was a little past 1p.m. now it’s almost 4p.m. meaning not much longer until I can go home, cuddle my best friend and relax.

Getting ripped out of my thoughts as another car gets pulled over.

A little dramatic, still thinking about my couch and a cup of tea, I kind of drag myself towards that car. Immediately starting to talk as the window rolls down, not really paying attention to the person sitting inside.

When I’m done talking, I take the papers being held towards me, look at them and look at her. That’s when I first saw her.

She’s blonde. Brown eyes, shining like Amber. A beautiful smile. About my age.

I just stare at her just now realizing she stares too. Shit. She asked or said something. “Just politely ask her if she could repeat that.“, I say to myself.

“I’m sorry, could you repeat that please?“, I ask, trying to hold myself together.

“Sure. I wanted to know if you needed anything else.“, she politely answers.

“Oh, n-no. Y-You’re good.“, I stutter, already hating myself for it.

“So, am I good to go then?“, she again politely asks, smiling at me a little flirty?

Is she flirting with me? Am I flirting with her? Get yourself together! You’re at work!

Cursing myself for being such an idiot I say “Yes. You may go. Have a safe trip, Miss D.”

Mischievously smiling at me she says, “Thank you, have a good day, officer.”

She takes her papers and drives off.

That’s it. I’m done. Someone bring me home, please.
