Chapter 1
Another day, waking to the harsh reality called life. To top it all off, I'm not a morning person, so when my mom's voice echoes in my head this morning I feel like telling her to shut up. Don't get me wrong I love my mom so much I don't know if it's safe from her daughter but this morning I just don't want it.
So I'm preparing for school; boarding school ain't that fun don't let anyone tell you different.
My mom's happy but I'm feeling like shit. First because holidays are over and I'm gonna miss mum's kitchen, her hugs and all round peace. I'm going back to school to make more fake friends, get bullied for stuff I have no control over and just try to survive without being killed for another year.
God can it get any worse?
I get up from bed, dragging my still sleepy self to the bathroom to wash up. I don't want to go down for breakfast looking like raccoon that had a catfight with a witch.
Finally I dress up and go down stairs in a comfy pants and tank top.
I kiss mum and who has a big smile on her face and think " How does she look so happy every morning?"
Grandma is on the couch catching up on news of a bad weather the past few nights. My little sister is just being herself...damn I wish I were still a baby.
"I'm gonna miss you guys for another couple of months..." I think to myself.
We sit down to breakfast and I actually enjoy it because I love my mom's cooking.
After that I decide to go pack my bags while mum takes off to the supermarket. She's always buying something that I need even though I really don't.
After she gets back, I'm all ready. We drive to school while I'm feeling dread about another year.
Chapter 2: Cora
And so it starts. I keep feeling nervous but excited about meeting everyone at school. Taking my bags from the car I go check-in with the boarding mistresses about my room, and roommates.
Then I see her, Glena Titan my bestie; she literally knocks me down with her embrace. "I missed your crazy Cora" she tells me. " I missed annoying you too Glena". I love her too much. Because of her I get to stay peacefully at school, we got each other's backs.
"Where's your dorm?" Glena asks. I show her the slip reading dorm A room 7 and we both squeal.
She helps me with my suitcase and we get settled in.
We're both catching up on the holidays when Kendra Calls walks in yelling our names. Kendra is my other bestie, maybe that term is too much considering I'm not that close with her as I am with Glena.
We're all talking and catching up when the bell rings signaling it's time for dinner.
Our parents had long gone and now school officially begins.
