Amanda Dilemma
What's worse than heartbreak?
Death right?
But in that case, I preferred to die.
Amanda wrote her last exam, wearing a face of despair, as she squeezed and threw the exam question paper away. She dragged her legs back to the hostel, worried about her grades. She had fantasized this semester to be the best one of her entire schooling but everything seemed the opposite.
Consoling herself, she prepared oatmeal, which she had while she was pressing her phone.
She received a WhatsApp message from her little brother. That's when she observed he has been calling her for a while.
Seventeen Missed Calls??
What could have happened?
She called him back and heard him crying. He told her everything.
Amanda got the shock of her life, her grandmother passed away. She didn't get to start crying when she heard that her mom also died of cardiac arrest on hearing the news in her place of work.
Amanda fainted. Nobody was around the hostel to resuscitate her. A few minutes passed and she regained consciousness. She was at least glad her exams were over, so she could travel to see her family. It was her only brother and father that was left.
It was a five-hour drive, she arrived and ran inside the house. Her poor dad was rolling on the floor crying like a child, while her brother was shouting and crying loudly. She was heartbroken, she has never seen her loved ones sunk in such pain. She fell to her knees and cried, trying to comfort everyone still.
She needed consolation but she was the only person to console everyone.
It took ten days for the family to get over the death, even though the scar on their heart remained permanent. The Burial ceremony was done. Amanda dried her tongue screaming at the top of her voice.
"Why Me???"
It was the most tragic and unforgettable event she ever experienced.
Weeks passed, and Amanda needed to head back to school to continue her education. She was eager to see her results. Hoping for the best.
Let's just say it didn't turn out well when she walked away from the notice board in tears. She had three carryovers.
She went back to her hostel. She was drunk in pain.
She was tired.
She needed to rest.
She was losing her mind.
She picked a gallon of kerosene and stared at it. She could not just take it anymore.
Before she could do anything, she got a call from an unknown number. It was a nurse..
Her dad and only brother got hit by a car. Her brother damaged his skull and his femur, and is currently on life support, while her dad has full-body paralysis.
She breathed in..breathed out...
And stabbed herself...
"Hello...
Amanda are you there?
Can you hear me"...

Please pray for your family.
Wherever you are, ask God to protect your relatives.
The worst could happen and that will determine your life.
Put your loved ones in prayers .
Pray for your friends, your parents, your guardian, and every other person you know.
You never can tell the effect of the death of your worst sibling, or the distress that'll come when your old grandparents are late.
You don't know what could happen to anyone at anytime.
Pray for everyone!!
