Engaged to my Love
The big royal hall of the biggest palace in America is filled with happiness and chaos as everyone is so happy and ready for the preparations of the new couples who are ready for the engagement.
New fire lamps, curtains, welcome mat, furniture, paints, clothes, flowers and what not. Everything was so done. The priest was welcomed by the richest and named dynasty of the century, The Walton Dynasty.
The prince was in his space getting his suits tight for the ceremony. The bride was very happy as she was getting married to her love. The town was so happy as it was the end of the war between Walton and Koch Dynasty.
The story is simple. Their eldest kids fell in love and after a billion tries convinced their parents and the families agreed for their love marriage. But was it this? Well, the chairs were arranged for the couples and the head slave was sent to call Prince Jason and Princess Y/N.
With Y/N:
Fella (Y/N Mother): Oh, my daughter has become so big now. You’re now marrying my lovely child; I hope you’ll handle the responsibilities accordingly. I know I’m being too emotional, it’s not your farewell but now you’ll be living with Jason’s family.
You: It’s alright mom. I understand your feelings and your daughter can never be away from you.
She said consoling her mother so perfectly. Fella smiled with sadness yet happiness in her eyes. Her hand went to her daughter’s cheeks, caressing it so softly with all her love. Suddenly the door opened, catching the attention of the trio. Yes, her father, Michel was also present in the room.
Lily (Head Servant): Your highness! Everyone is waiting for you for the ceremony to start.
Y/N smiled and took her steps towards door with her father. She turned around again but the smile wasn’t there. She looked at her mother and Fella was waiting for her to speak like she wanted.
You: I want to meet my grandma; mom.
Michel: Y/N! Do you even know what you’re saying?
You: I know father. But I want to and your princess would not hear ‘no’.
She said the first half of the sentence seriously and the other half smiling widely like she knew no one would deny her. But Fella had some worried expressions on her face with fidgeting fingers and shaking pupils.
A li’l offset condition of Michel too. But no one said anything to Y/N and he held her hand taking her to the ceremony. She was wearing a high royal white engagement gown with white glass sandles. She was smiling ear to ear when she heard a welcoming applause on her entry. Her father took her to the chair near Jason and Jason stood up to attend to her fiancé. Jason was happy too; he took her hand gently. Now both are sitting in their places looking into each other’s eyes.
Melina (Jason’s Mother): Will my kids start the ceremony or just sit there looking at each other like love sicks?
Everyone started giggling. Jason and Y/N ducked their heads down with their red cheeks. Soon the priest entered and the ceremony started. Now the hall was silent and the only voice heard was of priest.
But there was someone, behind the walls of the palace, listening to everything. But the person didn’t have any plans to do something evil as it’s her family too.
Priest: Taking the name of this Holy Bible and Jesus, the people sitting here as the proof of the events, I announce you two to exchange the rings which soon will be the proof of 1 soul but living in two different bodies.
First the prince took the ring, sliding it into the Y/N finger and then the Y/N. The priest telling the significance and the value of vows taken in the engagement. Not forgetting the consequences when the oaths are broken. Everyone listened carefully. Finally, it was done and people ended it with warm clapping and blessings.
Everyone went to the centre as it was now time for a sweet family couple dance but there stood Jason’s parents whispering something into each other’s ears. Y/N asked Jason to call his parents but he shrugged it saying
Jason: We should not disturb them princess. They might feel bad. Keeping it aside, would you like to have a dance with me?
He asked, bowing in front of her with his hand extended towards her. She smiled, saying a ‘yes’ she took his hand and they went into the centre. When they started dancing, they caught everyone’s attention. Everyone stopped giving them some space and watching them with love-filled eyes.
But there was still something off as Melina and Jacob (Jason’s Father) stood in the corner of the hall watching the couple.
