September 28th, 1123 - Cypress

I rolled over in bed for what felt like the hundredth time. My mind wouldn’t quiet. Covering my eyes, I questioned, Why can’t I get you out of my head? I groaned and rolled over again. All I want is to sleep... So let me sleep! Tugging the blanket over my head, I curled up into a ball. I meet you once and all my mind wants to think about is you. I wasn’t like this when I met Hawthorne.

I blinked, pressing my lips together as I remembered Hawthorne’s hostility towards Atticus today. I thought, I can understand him being jealous and angry, but I have to do this for our people. Doesn’t he understand that? It’s not like I want to marry Atticus either, right?

With a snarl, I threw the blankets back and sat up. I tapped the lantern on the nightstand and an electric ball sparked into existence. Grabbing my sketchbook and pencil from the nightstand I tried to think of what to draw. I opened the book to the second page and stared at the blank page.

Were you calling the flowers beautiful? I asked, fiddling with the pencil. Or were you calling me beautiful?

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...

Rodela: I have been reading in Inkitt for quite some years now, but this is the 2nd time I am reading a story as well knitted as this one. Ingibabes511: Beautiful storytelling, too short but crafted wonderfully, your ability to draw us in with just a few short descriptive nuances and I for one would not be unhappy if you decided to make this into a series following their lives, where we learn more about her goddess given talents and if they have pup...
