Chapter 1

-WILLS POINT OF VIEW-

Will byers was smart for his age all throughout his life, so His mother worried about sending him to preschool or a daycare so she taught him stuff at home, at least until kindergarten ( she gave up on homeschooling quickly)

His earliest memory of his mother teaching him was about- well he couldn't remember what it was about. (since it has been years since then..)They sat facing eachother in the dining room most of the time, he remembers his mother, Joyce byers being so happy because will had gotten another answer right.

' Good Job will! When schools done you can tell Jonathan all about it!' She gave him a warm smile Will was so happy he let out his "weird smile" which made her laugh. '2 more questions ok? Your doing much better then when you started!' Will was happy, this ended quickly.

'JESUS women! I'm watching TV and all i can hear is your @$s over there about to BURST cuz he got another answer right! God just shut up'

Will flinched he didn't like when his dad yelled.

Wills father, Lonnie shouted loudly for no reason he didn't even separate his eyes away from the tv. he wasn't a kind man, he hurt Wills mom. He hurt Wills brother and he hurt will.

Joyce's face saddened, her smile disappeared within a second after he yelled.

'sorry'

'LOUDER' Wills father stood up and turned to her. He got very angry very easily.

'I'm sorry Lonnie. But please not infront of will'

'No, I told you! When you say sorry say it like you f#cking mean it' 'also I'm starving you should have put him in damn preschool, maybe then you'd be useful!' He scoffed.

'Hmm'

Will looked at her then at his father he had a empty bear bottle in his hands 'huh' his father almost always help a empty or full beer bottle when he got mad 'uh oh' thought will, he looked back at his mum,Her eyes were hopeful. 'Look Lonnie I'm sorry. I'll get going on dinner and put him in kindergarten once it starts ok?' 'Fine but you need to learn a damn lesson' 'stupid bitch' Lonnie muttered steping closer. Will didn't know what to do. He didn't know what he could do.. his dad would hurt her if he did nothing so he did the only thing he could think of. Lonnie stepped facing her and will, well..

He started crying and begging his father not to Hurt his mother, sniffing every few seconds. 'its mean to hurt people and its wrong you'll be a bad guy' will mumbled. Lonnie glared at him ' Jesus christ, I'm not raising a p##sy' he smashed the beer bottle on the table. Joyce was sobbing, she could barely get any words out. 'please dont!'

Lonnie grabbed will by the arm and threw him off his chair 'please' will mumbled but it was useless. It didn't matter what will said. the last thing will remembered was his father kicking him in the stomach and his mother quickly running to will. She held him as his father screamed. Slurs. Tons of slurs as will cried.

'Will are you ok?' It was El Wills sister, she snapped him back into what was currently happening..

' oh, sorry I zoned out.' El gave him a concerned look. Will thought for a second then added 'My bad, oh and yeah I'm ok..' He felt stupid 'Shit' will thought wondering why he was thinking of his father- no not father that sounded wrong. Lonnie, why was he thinking of Lonnie?

After all he hadn't seen or heard from him in years, (other then the fact Lonnie thinks wills dead) .Will knew Lonnie hated him, will hated lonnie back. So he didn't care at all. ... Will cared a little bit.. if he saw Lonnie he would punch him in his stupid face or he hoped he'd be able to, he's fought f##king monsters he could face his father. Probably..

Will sighed he looked out the surfer boys van window. He looked beside him where El and Mike sat, 'are they ignoring eachother?' Will took a second to think about it only hours ago were they hugging and kissing like there was no tomorrow. Will felt a wave of jealousy wash pass him, he icked and shook it of.

Soon they would be arriving in Hawkins to meet the rest of the group, he would finally see his friends again. He missed Lucas and Dustin. Plus he'd finally get some peace and quiet time away from Mike and El, then as if intentional the worse headache corsed into his head. Shit, it stung he wanted to make a noise or let out a cry but then his dad popped into his head... he stayed silent. The headache stopped after three or four minutes, His mind went back to El.

El had done it. she helped save max and everyone else, well hopefully the truth is that they have basically no clue if everyone in Hawkins is safe. El was too upset to tell them but that was ok, will didn't mind he understood she was in pain. more pain... Will thoughts shifted as he got another headache. will wondered if the headaches had something to do with the upside down hopefully not. Suddenly he got a nose bleed 'shit' will said a little louder then intended.

El turned to look at him 'uh are you ok?' She asked

'Ah shit you good will' Mike asked before will could answer El. Will quickly wiped it away using his hand, he felt embarrassed 'I'm ok, probably just air change yknow?' both El and Mike mumbled 'ok' and 'if you say so" will looked at the blood on his right hand, he realized it was almost showing and swiftly tucked his sleeve up.

He knew he couldn't let El, Mike or even Johnathan see it which filled him will guilt. Never he thought.

-JOHNATHANS POV-

His thoughts were all over the place will, El, Nancy, his mother. He looked in the rear view mirror at his brother will, he looked nervous and worried. Johnathan looked back on the road, He was tired and wanted to get to Hawkins as soon as possible. Honestly he was mad at mike, he was a ass to will. All. The. Time.

He also worried for El she had been threw so much, they all had. Wanting to close his eyes and sleep he nudged argyle 'what up brochacho?' Argyle said somehow acting like everything was ok 'you think you can drive?' Johnathan asked. 'Ah of course my dude' he slowed down the van. 'Is everything OK?'

Will asked 'yeah its fine bud, argyles gonna take a Crack at driving' 'oh. Ok' will sounded slightly concerned. Him and argyle hoped out and switched, 'all right let's do this' argyle turned the radio on. Johnathan quickly fell asleep, thinking about punching Mike wheeler. Would Nance be mad? Meh. he drifted into a deep sleep.

In around a hour they will arrive in Hawkins and once everyone let's their guards down something stange will start to happen, turning everything upside down.
