Prologue
The rustling water shone with reflections of the pale moon making it seem like another world was just under the surface. A dark form approached, not making the faintest sound. The figure sensed something approaching, and took a defensive position. Just as the first figure was about to slash a sword toward the movement, another figure stepped forward into a patch of moonlight.
“No need for swords, old friend. We both know what this is about. Everyone who isn’t with us thinks she died in the fire that took her room. She’s hidden and she’s taken a memory-wiping potion. All she’ll remember is the basic mechanics of life, and a name that we gave her, Emmalynn Erreala.”
