Family Background

Lisa Morgan, 18 belonged to a middle class family. The place where she took birth was one of the most renowned places. The place was full of sophisticated people everywhere it was a very educated and a good society. Her mother, Charlotte Morgan, and father, Bryan Morgan were a happily married couple. They had a love marriage under difficult circumstances, which was mainly the case of one-sided love. But now they were living contentedly and Lisa was their only child. As usual, the first child always grabs the best attention of its parents and so was true with Lisa. Mrs. Morgan used to give the best attention to her all the time just like any parent would do for its first child. Lisa scored the best marks in her class and undoubtedly the credit was given to her mother. Lisa being an introvert only had one friend named, Susan in the whole society. Later on, in due course, Susan had to shift to another city. Lisa used to miss her but at that point of age, feelings didn’t stay for long. So after some time, the feeling of loneliness vanished away.

Later, due to some legal issues, the Morgans had to shift the place they stayed on to somewhere else. They shifted to the place nearby, at that time when Lisa was only 6 years old. Mrs. Morgan was pregnant at the time they shifted, though the enthusiasm of the new child which was about to come was on the peaks throughout the family. Similar was with Lisa, she was really very excited. After some time Mrs. Morgan gave birth to a baby girl. The expressions of Lisa for her smaller sister were gleeful but sad at the same time as she wanted a baby brother because they were three sisters already in the family which was including the cousins. She loved her very much, just like the best elder sister. Lisa was not very connected to her father due to her nature of being silent all the time. The main conversations which took place between Lisa and her father were always related to studies or some sort of serious issue. During Lisa’s childhood cuddling out of love and care between a daughter and father took place. But after the birth of Lisa’s smaller sister, the love got split among the two daughters. As usual, the main attention of Lisa’s father was seized by her smaller sister Sasha. But from her father’s point of view, he equally loved both of them. But Lisa could realize how partial it was becoming day by day. As Sasha was growing up slowly, Lisa was about to hit up her teens. As the age gap between the two sisters was of 6 years. Due to which there were a lot of communication gaps and useless conflicts amongst the two. Lisa grew up as a silent and introvert girl, whereas Sasha was growing up as a naughty and open minded girl. Both of the sisters were absolutely opposite of each other. As Lisa finally became a perfect adolescent, she could understand the world more clearly and could solve small day to day problems on her own. She used to study on her own from the 8th grade slowly she was heading towards being an independent individual, who could easily take its decisions on its own.

As Lisa was growing up the feeling of love, care and freedom were developing up at a higher pace. The word peer pressure was on the peaks, the foolish games which were played amongst the children played as the key to their behavior. Children were easily influenced by liking each other and making their so-called girlfriends and boyfriends. This eventually was not helping them in developing true feelings but making a joke of themselves and the person opposite. Lisa as one of them, though she had strict parents and her nature was not one of the same as other children but her friends were one or two of them. When a person gets surrounded by such people they tend to get the same surroundings similar was with Lisa though she never liked any boy of her class but was forced to do so. Just to stay connected with her friends. That was the beginning of her to start feeling for someone or something be it a person or a thing. In the 6 class, she made her first crush, a boy named John. According to her, she loved him but that was just an odd attraction nothing more than that as 6th grade is not the class to build accurate feelings but it can be considered as the phase of generating feelings and knowing them for the first time. It may not be true for everyone but was true in the case of Lisa.

Knowing the love and its consequences were very enjoyable for her. It was a fun ride of emotions in her life. She finally made a boyfriend under peer pressure; yes it was the same guy on which she had her first crush. At that age making boyfriend for girls and making girlfriends for boys was considered, an amazing task which required a lot of confidence. And the person who was able to successfully succeed in this task was crowned like a king or queen. But if someone did not makeup to the task or fail in it miserably was crowned as a looser. When Lisa received her first proposal she was very excited not for the feeling of being a girlfriend for the first time but for the consequences of the fact that what will happen next? What was she finally going to experience? Afterwards, she started to experience beautiful fragments of love, care, affection all around her. That phase of life for Lisa was very cozy and content. But this happiness didn’t last for long. The boy left her with absolutely no reason and after she ran after him to ask why did he do so? the reason given by him was straight and direct which was due to constant hatred of Mr. Morgan towards him. The reason given by the boy was true as Mr. Morgan didn’t like him at all as he used to curse him without any reason. In 8th grade, Lisa was greeted with the same class teacher she used to have in class 6th which was a huge disadvantage for her because she was the only one who used to repeatedly insult her new boyfriend in front of her dad. She used to blurt all the false news to her father. As Lisa was a girl with potential she used to score average marks from class 6th onwards which disappointed the class teacher she always wanted her to be in the topper list. But the reason found by Mrs. Smith (the class teacher) for Lisa’s low scores was due to her cluster of friends. She was concerned about Lisa’s company. Whereas according to Lisa friends were made by heart and heart only, she didn’t care about the fact that if her friends were scoring low or high but if a friend in need is a friend indeed then it was completely fine. As Mrs. Smith used to blurt out all false information in front of Mr. Morgan, he started bounding restrictions on Lisa, he started giving her lectures on the fact that friends are to be made based on their class performance and most preferably their marks. And Mrs. Morgan said exactly what her husband used to say. She never had her own opinion, but when it comes to the opinion of Mr. Morgan, he was such a person who never went against his wife. Be it any decision he always used to hear his wife first and then the rest, so obviously why Mrs. Morgan would go against her own decision. So, in any case, this was enough for Lisa to make her life worsen day by day.

Lisa used to love her father as she inherited the quality of being open-minded and patience from him. She always loved him more than her mother but the fact that Mr. Morgan never had his own opinion made her sad. Mrs. Morgan was a lady who was always ready to help in case of an emergency for money or anything. But always expected the person to return whatever she has done for him/her. She belonged to a good family whereas Mr. Morgan didn’t belong to the family with a well off status. Charlotte’s mother, Lisa’s grandmother was a beautiful lady, not only by her outer look but she also had a heart of gold. Her husband Lisa’s grandfather was undoubtedly a supportive person but somewhere or the other he had a different kind of male ego in him. This made him slightly a negative person though he loved Lisa and Sasha with all of his heart. But, sometimes it used to get reflected in his nature and behavior. So without further getting away from the topic of Mrs. Morgan she was a lady who was very proud of herself and had a competitive nature. She always thought herself of being one of the people belonging to the well off status group. She used to live in a small house but dreamt of her daughter Lisa to marry a boy with an amazing amount of wealth and reputed status. She was the kind of woman who could show off her things in front of her family members. She often used to brag about her expensive things in front of her sister and brother. As we go further from describing various different characteristics of Mrs. Morgan, most of them she inherited were from her father. If I talk about Lisa’s grandfather, he was a well-reputed government worker. Working at a good post gives you an upgrade from the ordinary. And it’s quite obvious that you tend to brag about it but this wasn’t the case with Lisa’s grandfather. While, he was a man who loved rules and regulations, though he used to love all of his family members, but due to the disheartening betrayal by his brothers regarding some money-related issues, he got himself separated from them and bought a nice mansion in the countryside. The house was passionately designed by his beloved wife Lisa’s grandmother. When the house was built it didn’t have plenty of neighbors but later as the sudden increase of population, they now had a good amount of neighbors. Most of the neighbors were of the same religion similar to them, so they used to celebrate most of the festivals together. His best support was his wife whom he loved very much. But sometimes he used to become kind of moody and rude just like an angry man who would rather listen to himself other than taking opinion from others even if it costs him something very bad. Unfortunately, one of his worst decisions took place when he arranged the marriage of his son to a girl just by looking at her. You just cannot judge a book by its cover as it might be hiding a lot of new things inside. Here the book was hiding a lot of negative things which soon was going to become a disaster in the life of Lisa’s mother’s family. As soon as Lisa’s maternal uncle got married to the new lady whom he never knew before, but just because his father asked him to rather forced him to. Later the girl who was expected to be the best for the family resulted in complete chaos for the family; she successfully manipulated Lisa’s maternal uncle against his parents which exactly means Lisa’s grandparents.

How can your son be against his you? But this was not the case with Lisa’s maternal uncle. He often used to blame his parents for rubbish things which his wife usually used to poke into his ears. Those rubbish things usually consisted of the issues regarding food and various other medicines. As Lisa’s grandmother was suffering from a severe disease called Parkinson in which the person can’t speak properly neither the person can walk properly. At this stage of life at which Lisa’s grandmother was struggling due to her helplessness of being dependent. Day by day the behavior of her daughter in law became miserable. At this time both Lisa’s grandparents became the best possible support of each other, as both of them loved each other from the very beginning of their bond together. Soon, this disrespectful conduct of their son and daughter in law out turned into them leaving the house. Despite inadequate conditions of Lisa’s grandmother, being a loving husband Lisa’s grandfather couldn’t handle the humiliation in front of his eyes.

He decided to go and live in his daughter’s house, they used to live far in another country. But it wasn’t easy for them to live there as being away from their loving granddaughter, who had virtually lost her grandparents. So, as up till now you could have made it out that Lisa’s grandparents had three kids. A boy and two girls, the eldest was a girl Charlotte, Lisa’s mother. Another sister was Jennie, the one at which Lisa’s grandfather was currently living away from his son. The youngest of all was Peter, the one and only son who was inadvertently married to an impertinent woman due to a mistake made by his father.
