Chapter 1. welcome to hawkins darling
As i grabbed the last box out of the moving van and wiped away some sweat from my forehead i turned around and looked at the house. As usuall my parents had bought a huge house, not that they will ever be able to enjoy the place. I let out a deep sigh and softly shook my head, shaking away the intrusive thoughts that were about to take over my mind. " bella, sweetheart i made some drinks " i heard alfred yelling from the porch. I smiled and nodded at him. Walking towards the house i saw the gardener, a few security members roaming around the place, inspecting every inch of the ground, making sure there werent any secret passage ways. I dumped the box in the hallway and walked towards the kitchen i let myself fall into the chair and grabbed a piece of brownie and grabbed a glass of ice tea" thanks alfred" i said while swallowing my food. He gave me a small smile " as always, you are very welcome, so.. what do you think? Think you can start to like it here? I understand why you cant call it home.. but i do hope you will like it atleast" he said nervously. I just gave a schrug " yeah ofcourse i will " i could fake a smile, but i didnt see the point, lately i havent seen a point to anything.. thats why alfred took me away.. it wasnt safe at home and neither felt it like home anymore. So we decided to go away " school is tomorrow right?" i looked up at a distracted alfred, with his eyes glued to his phone " anything bad al ?" i asked and started to nervously bite my lip. " no nothing thats concerns you, im gonna go head to my office, take out the boxes and start to catch up on work" he gave me a wink and walked away.
After dinner that night
I had unpacked my bedroom, hung up the paintings i got over the years from my parents, made my bed and put my makeup and clothes in the dresser and table. I let myself fall onto the bed and let out a deep groan " fuuuck" i started to slowly tap with my fingers on my matrass. I was bored, utterly bored. Out of no where i started to hear voices outside " i told you it was going to be one hell of a walk " i heard a boy say laughing. Considering there isnt anything around except for my house they indeed had to been walking for a long time " steeevee, get up dont sit down on the ground, we have to keep going " a sweet girlish voice said. I slowly stood up and walked towards my window, i moved my curtain a bit so i could look outside. There they were, a adorable girl and a very handsome boy. " so this house is finally inhabited by people isnt it " i heard the boy say looking at my house " yeah i heard that the house has been sold for years.. but the owners just never showed up" said the girl while tucking on the boys sleeve to get him to come with her " wondering why they came now.." is the last thing i heard the boy say. If he only knew..
I woke up screaming, my heart was beating so fast if it jumped out of my chest it wouldnt suprise me, tears fell down without a warning or even a way to stop it my breathing was so fast it made me feel like i was going to pass out any second. My door slammed open and within seconds i felt the famillair comfortable arms around me from alfred " you alright sweetheart" he softly stroked my arm. My breathing started to slowly slow down while i softly wiped away my tears " just a nightmare thats all.." was all i could mutter out without starting to cry again. Alfred just nods. I sowly started to play with the ring on my finger and still wiping away the tears" you.. do know that you can always talk to me right?" alfred said causiuously. I just nod " i know " i softly gave a kiss on his cheek" you can go to bed alfred, i know you have alot to do" i could see in his eyes that he wanted to fight me over it, wanting to stay, but just as i could read his eyes, he could read mine. And my eyes spoke as clear as day leave me alone. He let out a deep and frustrated groan and walked out of the room but before closing my door he softly said " good night "
6:30 next morning
I slammed my hand against my alarm and let myself fall onto the floor. I let out a deep sigh and stood up went to the bathroom and took a very hot shower, brushed my hair and walked towards my bedroom and opened my dresser, i pulled out a black ripped jeans and a crop top wich just covered my boobs and pulled of a hanger a large demin jacket, i put on some makeup, dark makeup was my best friend. I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled i brushed with my hand trough my half long hair, i could hear alfred yelling for me to come down, so i did. I placed my ass on a chair in the kitchen and alfred looked up from his paper " looking forward to your first day at school?" we never talk about the previous nights whenever i have nightmares, i simply just dont want to talk about it, i rather ignore it. i nodd my head " yeah, it will be fine. " i said not very confident but it didnt matter, there was no reason why i should hide or lie about how i feel or rather not feel. I grew up with alfred.. he has been our family butler for years. He shoved another piece of fruit towards me " eat this too, i know you get nervous around strangers if you have to eat" he said without even looking up from his paper, knowing if he did, i would had scolded him for that comment but instead i choose to ignore it. a half hour later we both got into the car and alfred started to drive towards the school hawkins high.
"just.. please call if you need anything. And i mean ANYTHING" Alfred said in a serious tone. I let out a little giggle and nodded " ofcourse, always, but just so you know i can handle myself" i said while jiggiling my fingers. " yeah lets NOT do that bella" he said i rolled my eyes " as if i would " i opened the door and gave alfred a little hand kiss " see ya old man " i slammed the door shut and turned around, the whole parking lot was filled with cars, motors, students.. especially alot of students, some hanging around cars or just standing somewhere talking to eachother. I let out a deep breath and slowly walked towards the front doors, i could feel eyes staring at me in the back of my head. Suddenly i came to a hold and looked straight at a girl,smiling bright at me " hi, im nancy, nancy wheeler, im going to show you around this week " she looked kinda nervous. I smiled softly" my name is bella, and thats awesome" i put my hands in my jacket " well alright lets get inside and i will show you around, i have already got your time table and you are in all the same classes as me so i can easily show you where to go, just stick around " nancy said. I nodded and looked around " still pretty big for a small town" i said and i looked at nancy she laughed a little and nodded " lots of children" she showed me to my locker and i placed the books inside wich werent needed untill after lunch, we walked towards the first class. For the rest of the morning i sat down next to nancy in every class, we got along great she seems really nice and kind.she also didnt ask too much personal questions, wich i like very much, im not an open person and after what happened im not sure it is wise to open up anyway.
During lunch i sat down at the table with nancy and her friends jonathan,steve and robin.
" soo any plans this weekend?" nancy asked the others while stuffing her mouth full, steve nodded " yeah dont you remember? My parents are gone im throwing a party" he said smilingly he then turned to me " you are also very welcome to join" steve slowly looked me up and down and gave me a wink, i rolled my eyes and smirked " well, good news i do like a good party" i looked steve straight in his eyes and winked back, he immediatly flushes red, i let out a little laugh and turned to nancy and robin " you girls going too?" they both nodded. At the end of lunch we had decided to all get ready together, i invited them over to my house considering its a huge house we have plenty of room to get ready.
After school ended i waited by my locker for nancy, she had told me that she would love to take me home considering she usually takes everyone home but they all had things to do,and she would find it weird if she just went straight home, i agreed ofcourse. i opened my locker and placed the books inside and placed the ones i would need for homework into my bag. I closed my locker and let out a shriek, the guy standing infront of me let out a laugh and smirked " did i scare ya love ?" i rolled my eyes and let out a little laugh " yeah apparently" i looked at him and my heart stopped for a second..his beautiful dirty blonde curly hair.. hia beautiful blue eyes..i could get lost in them for days..and then his body.. god as if he was made by the gods themselves.. suddenly i was jerked back to reality when i had two fingers snapping in my face " earth to new girl? Did i make you lose youe tongue?" i looked at him and smirked " you wish babe" i winked at him, i could see him being startled for a moment.. not sure how to take my comment.. i suppose he isnt used to woman talking back to him. " the names billy, billy hargrove " he slowly grabbed his sigarets out of his jacket " you smoke ?" he asked i nodded " yeah i do" he jerked his head a bit towards the front door telling me to walk out with him, without a word i followed, not because i was in a trance.. or captivated by his beauty, just because i dont need to use words, i honestly dont care what he thinks or wants. " my name is bella by the way " i said while blowing out some smoke " yeah i heard, everyone's been talking about the new girl" when he said the words new girl he rolled his eyes at it, as if it was something common here that whenever someone news shows uo theyre the talk of the school.. and by the looks of it it doesnt seem like there's alot of new students coming here. I looked at him and smiled " well ofcourse, have you seen me ?" he let out a laugh and shook his head " damn darling.. " he firmly but gently grabbed my chin and smirked " youre a special one arent you ?" i couldnt look away.. his eyes are truly from out of this world i just nodded proudly " there isnt anyone like me " he let go of my face and threw away his sigaret. " bella? Where are you ?" i heard nancy's voice calling out for me, i looked at him and smiled " there's my ride, thanks foe the sigaret and maybe see you later" when i was about to walk away billy grabbed my wrist and spung me around " welcome to hawkins darling " and without another word he let go of my wrist and stepped into his car and drove off.
