the Battle
He'd met his match
as time stood still
within the thatch
upon the hill
His sword is heavy
and stained of blood
above that levy
within the crude
The Beast came forward
and stood his place
his head was loward
of life no trace
The sky rang loud
and shown bright red
His head thrust proud
His eyes they bled
With power and might
his arm came high
The man in fright
the beast stood by
The armor clashed
the muscle strained
the continuous bash
but none did drain
Hour by hour
the people gazed
but Beast had power
to last for days
firm in their footing
both did stay
despite the force
that each displayed
But the Beast was not
and the man was so
the man was caught
but he didn't know
When no sound was heard
the end had come
but, which you ask
which is the one?
None, of course
and why surprise?
the two were one
not separate lies
