Chapter 1
While growing up,I used to think adulthood was a fairytale,the one where you grow up without thinking about bills,having a nice job with a good pay,you get to meet your prince charming and "live happily ever after."
When I grew up I realized "Adulthood is like looking both ways before you cross the street,then getting hit by an airplane."
Being an adult is really hard and comes with a lot of responsibilities.As an adult all you have to think of is "How to get your bills paid."
"Fairytale doesn't exist."
"Prince charming doesn't exist."
"Happily ever after doesn't exist."
"Now I truly believe in fairytale." Lily interrupted my thoughts,
"Jason is just so perfect in every way, she continued dreamily.
Lily was a colleague and the closest friend I had at work,we were currently at the coffee room brewing coffee while chatting.
Lily and Jason met at a "grocery store"... cliché right,and the duo have been dating for more than a year now.
I love lily alot,but sometimes her rants about her "not so perfect relationship" can be very annoying.
"I strongly believe fairytale won't pay your bills lily and you and Jason's relationship is not what I hope for." I interrupted her day dream.
"You are such a killjoy," she sighed. I can't wait for the day you will be in a relationship with "A man." She says laying emphasis on the MAN
'I assure you,you will wait for a thousand year for that to happen."I replied her taking a sip of my coffee.
I didn't suddenly loose interested in love,I have had my fair share in relationship and waiting for "Mr right" isn't in my plans any more.
