Welcome Home Carrie
While Driving to her Hometown, Carrie is on the not so busy highway. The sun is beaming down on her Beautiful Dark skin, showing it's Excellence. The wind is blowing through her thick brown curls. Carrie is thinking to herself about all the wonderful people she will miss that she has met during her time at college. She's even thinking about her Old College Beau. Mike. Carrie and Mike met at a party during her freshmen year at Whitmore College, and although they're not together anymore, She'll miss him the most. Even though it's bittersweet. She's glad to be going home to reunite with the two People who has been there for her through everything. Carol and Amber. Carol is Carrie's Sister, Carol has always been there for Carrie, Especially when their parents died in the car crash. After their parents had died They both were sent to Foster homes, until Carol was old enough to become Carrie's Guardian and care for her. The two sisters have been through alot but no matter what, They're always there to support each other. Now Amber on the other hand is Carrie's Best friend, But she's definitely like a sister to Carrie. They met at summer camp when Carrie was 8 years old, a year ago before Carrie's parents died. You know the saying right? " Opposites Attract"? Well that's definitely case with these two. Carrie is more of the Girl Next door. While Amber is the one that likes to party... And party hard. But the two make it work.
Carrie arrives at the house that she grew up in. She gets out of the car, then she walks up to the front door, she fixes her hair, and knocks on the door. A short minute later, a young woman opens the door. The woman looks at Carrie and smiles and embraces Carrie into a hug. they hug a minute longer and let's go of each other.
" Hey Baby sis" Says Carol.
"Hey Carol" Says Carrie.
"I thought that you were coming a little later" Carol asked.
" I wanted to get a head start on the road, You know how those Highways can get" Carrie says.
" Of course I do. Come on in, and see what I've done with the place" Carol Says.
Carol opens the door wider so Carrie can come inside. Once inside Carrie looks around the House in amazement. Carol closes the door.
"Wow! You did all this by yourself?" Carrie asked.
" Yup, You know I always had a thing for Decorating houses. Of course Dennis Did all the heavy lifting" Carol Says.
" This is Beautiful! I can't wait to see what my room looks like!" Carrie says jokingly.
"I did a little painting and Of course I had to change your carpets and your Bedding" Carol Says.
" I appreciate it. And Congratulations on opening Your home Design Store!"
" Thanks!" Carol Says.
" How is Dennis doing?" Carrie asked.
" Dennis is Great, He just passed the Bar you know" Carol Says.
" Oh yeah, I remember you mentioning that, You guys are great together!"
" I know, So enough about me and Dennis. How does it feel to be a college Graduate?" Carol asked.
" It feels amazing!" Carrie says.
" And what about Mike?" I thought he was gonna come down with you for the summer?" Carol asked.
Carrie sighs in disappointment.
"Me and Mike broke it off" Carrie says.
" Aw, I'm sorry Carrie. What Happened?" Carol asked.
" We just decided that it wasn't going to work, Him going to The Army, and me Going to law school in September" Carrie says
" He was a nice guy Carrie" Carol Says.
"Yeah he was, but we left off still being friends, No hard feelings" Carrie says.
" Well that's good, At least you two were able to talk it out and get closure" Carol Says.
"True, So where is Dennis?" Carrie asked.
Carol looks down at her watch.
"He should be here any minute" Carol Says.
Just then Carrie and Carol hears the sound of a car door closing. Carol smiles.
" He's here!" Carol Says with Excitement.
Carol goes over to the door to meet Dennis, When Dennis opens the door, he greeted by Carol who jumps up and down at his presence.
" Hey babe!" Carol Says in Excitement.
" Hi Babe!" Says Dennis.
Carol and Dennis hugs and brings each other Into a passionate kiss.
Watching them bask in their love for each other, Carrie smiles, although she wonders if she will ever have that for herself. She did once but that was a loooooong time ago.
Dennis closes the door with his foot, while still kissing Carol. Realizing that someone else is in the room, Dennis breaks apart from Carol and looks at Carrie.
" Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know anybody else was here!" Dennis says.
" Oh Yeah, Dennis is this my little sister Carrie" Carol Says.
Dennis and Carol walks back over to Carrie.
"Oh Carrie, I've heard so much about you. it's nice to finally meet you" Dennis Says.
Dennis holds out his hand for Carrie to shake, Carrie shakes Dennis's hand.
" I've heard Alot about you as well" Carrie says.
" All good things I hope" Dennis says.
"Nothing but good things" Carrie says.
"And besides, What bad thing can you say about a guy, who would do absolutely anything for you?" Carol Says.
"So Carrie, You're ready for law school?" Dennis Asked.
"More than ready, I'm Excited to start!" Carrie says.
"If You ever nees help with your studies, You can count on me!" Dennis says.
" thank you" Carrie says.
" Alright well, I'm gonna leave you ladies to it, I've got work to do in the backyard" Dennis says.
"Ok sweetheart" Says Carol.
Dennis and Carol share one last kiss, Before Dennis leaves. Dennis walks away.
" Isn't he great?" Carol asked.
"He awesome!" Carrie says.
"Well I have to go to the grocery store to pick up dinner, Wanna come?" Carol asked.
" No that alright, I'm just gonna go unpack my suitcase" Carrie says.
"Ok, well if you need anything. Just let Dennis know" Says Carol.
Carrie and Carol Exchange another hug between each other before Carol leaves, The Carrie goes upstairs to her room. When she gets to her room, she opens the door, steps inside and looks around her room. She smiles. Noticing how cute her room looks, she looks at pictures on the wall of her Best friend Amber and pictures of her childhood and Teenage years. Carrie walks over to her bed, aita down, and picks up a picture of her, Carol, and their parents that sits on her the dresser by her bedside. Sadness takes over, and soon Carrie feels a single tear drop down her cheek, Then she wipes the Tear away, then kisses the picture. A Second later she gets a notification of a new text message on her phone, Carrie quickly shakes off her sadness, and puts the family portrait back on the Dresser, she picks up her phone and read the text. It's from her Best friend Amber Telling her to meet her at the coffee shop tonight. Carrie sends a text of agreement, and then closes her phone, and then lays on her bed staring at the Wall.
Later that night, after eating dinner with Carol and Dennis, Carrie goes to meet Amber at the Coffee shop. When she arrives at the coffee shop, She spots Amber sitting in a booth. Amber looks up from her phone, sees Carrie and Waves her over in Excitement. Carrie smiles and waves back before walking over. When Carrie reaches the table where Amber is, Amber grabs Carrie into a hug almost making Carrie loose her Balance.
" WOAH!" Carrie says.
" Just be Quiet and Hug me!' Amber says.
" I can definitely tell that you've missed me, by the way you're hugging me, which is just a little too tight' Carrie says.
Amber let's go of Carrie and smiles.
" I'm sorry, I just really missed my best friend that's all". Amber says.
" I've missed you to". Carrie says.
Carrie quickly studies Amber from Head to toe.
"You look Great, I love that Hair color on you" Says Carrie.
" Thanks, My hair stylist said that the blue would go great with Blue eyes" Amber says.
" She was right, it really brings out your eyes" Carrie says.
"But let's talk about you for second. Miss I look like I'm just stepped off the runway!" Amber says.
Carrie does a spin.
" You are working that outfit Darling!" Amber says.
" Why Thank you!" Carrie says.
" Where is Jim?" Amber asked.
Carrie looks confused.
"Whose Jim?" Carrie asked.
"You know, your Boyfriend from college" Amber Says.
Carrie is still looking confused.
"Maybe that wasn't his name, What was it? Was it Johnny?"
Carrie smiles.
"Oh he was Reggie, wait No,no,no don't tell me, It was Ron!" Amber says.
" No,no,no, and no" Carrie says.
" I'm wrong?" Amber asked.
Carrie laughs.
" This is how I know you weren't listening when I told you his name" Carrie said.
"I didn't hear anything after you said how sexy he was, So what is his name? And when do I meet him?"Amber asked.
" His name is Mike, and you won't be meeting him" Carrie says.
" Why not?" Amber asked.
" Because we broke up" Carrie says.
Amber looks shocked.
"Oh my God! Carrie what happened?" Amber asked.
" It was a mutual thing, we both agreed that with us going to different places, it wouldn't work" Carrie says.
"I'm so sorry Carrie, I knew how much you liked him" Amber says.
" Thanks, and I'm alright" Carrie says.
" That's good. Well let's sit down" Amber says.
Carrie and Amber both sit down in the booth.
" I have sooo much to tell you" Amber says.
" I bet you do" Carrie says.
" I already went ahead and got you an Iced coffee and cream with the works" Amber says.
" Thanks, You know me so well" Carrie says.
" Well I'm your best friend, I'm supposed to know these things" Amber says.
Just then a waitress comes up to Carrie's and Amber's table holding two Iced coffee's she places each one of the Iced coffee's in front of Carrie and Amber.
"Alright ladies Here are your Beverages, Enjoy" The waitress says.
The waitress leaves.
" Well let's dig in" Amber says.
Both of them Take a sip of Their Beverages.
"This is sooo good!" Amber says.
"I can't believe that they still make the best Iced coffee!" Carrie says.
Amber takes one more sip before talking again.
"So guess whose pregnant?" Amber asked.
Carrie stops drinking her Iced coffee and looks directly at Amber with an worried look on her face.
"Amber when did this happen?" Carrie asked.
" Wait a minute, You think I'm pregnant?" Amber asked.
" Well are you?" Carrie asked.
" Carrie, I can't even keep a boyfriend let alone be pregnant" Amber says.
"What happened to Brian?" Carrie asked.
"That two-timing Jerk was cheating on me with Cher" Amber says.
"Cher? Cher from High school?" Carrie asked.
" Yup.... Cher from High school, I caught them at the movies together" Amber says.
" Oh wow, Amber I'm so sorry" Carrie says.
" Don't be.... Last night I had fourteen pizzas Delivered to his house... I hope all that cheese leaves him constipated" Amber says.
Carrie laughs.
" Oh you can bet on it" Carrie says.
"But no I'm not Pregnant. Marsha Wells is". Amber says.
"Marsha Wells?. From Summer Camp?!?!. Carrie says.
" Yup. Marsha Wells from Summer Camp". Amber says.
" But she wasn't she the one that said she would never have kids?" Carrie asked.
"Too late for that, I saw her last Friday and she looks like she's going to pop!" Says Amber.
" So what's the sex of the baby? Does she know yet?" Carrie Asked.
"It's gonna be a beautiful baby girl". Amber says.
"Babies bring Soo much joy! We just have to get her a gift!" Carrie says.
"Definitely". Amber says.
"I can't wait to start a family!" I think I would be. A good mother! Carrie says.
" Woah! Woah! Woah! You can't be thinking about babies right now. Aren't you going to law school in September?" Amber says.
" I don't mean right now Amber. I can't even find the right guy, let alone have a baby". Carrie says.
"Good thinking, Guys nowadays aren't baby ready anyways and I would hate for you to have to deal with an Deadbeat" Amber says.
"What about you? Do you want kids?" Carrie Asked.
"Me? Kids? You know me I have to live my life and kids will slow me down" Amber says.
Carrie chuckles
" Do you ever wanna settle down Amber?" Carrie asked.
"I'll settle down when I'm Fifty years old and I can't no longer pass for being Nineteen but until then it's party time!!!!!!!" Ambwr says.
Carrie and Amber laugh amongst each other. Just then a Young man walks up to their table.
" Carrie?" The Young man said.
Quickly remembering the voice and without turning around Carrie says a name.
"DEVLIN?!?!! Carrie says.
When Carrie turns around to look at the young man, she can't believe her eyes, so she just stares with her mouth opened. She can't hardly believe that in this moment she's looking at her first love, her first kiss, her first everything. The Young man smiles.
"Small world Isn't it?" The Young man said.
