October, 20th, 2021 - Monday - Second period
Ring!Ring!Ring!
The sounds of Winterset high school, rushing off to the next period. As I scrambled to grab my Biology books, I looked over my shoulder for a second, then I saw him. He was just standing there casually talking to Mike, my right locker buddy. He was so gorgeous, I thought, I was totally blushing. With his soft dirty blonde hair and those golden brown eyes, I melted right then and there. Until I was rudely interrupted by the screeching sounds of Biology, calling my name. I slammed my locker shut; so hard that, Mike and Prince Charming, were startled. I quickly said, “Hey Mike”, then ran to my next class. Acting as if I didn’t notice his handsome friend.
After Bio, Mia; my best friend since the sixth grade; and I walked to the library for study hall. Once we found our table, Mike and his friend were sitting there.
Mike greeted us with, “Hey, ladies - How is it going?“.
Mia shot mike a big smile, and said “Hey, Mike! Not too bad”. Then plopped all of her books onto the table.
I sorta froze awkwardly, staring at both of the guys.
Then as I placed my binder of notes on the table Charming said, “Hi, I’m Nick”.
I replied with, “Kiki”, as I tried not to blush.
Nick smiled warmly, then said, “Mike is showing me around, the school”, he explained, ” This place is so festive, it’s not even November!”
Mia and I both giggled, “That’s Winterset for you!“, Mia exclaimed.
We all chatted for a while and shared our schedules. Mike stated, “Okay so we have study hall, and...Lunch, all together - but I, have Computer lab with Mia and Kiki has it with Nick. So it all works out!”
The bell rang and we were off to the next period.
Nick said, “Sounds great!” then smiled, “It was nice meeting you all!”
Mia said, “You too!”
I smirked, “Bye Nick!“, then quickly grabbed my notes.
It was nice to officially meet him, I thought.
