"Wow. I have only just finished reading and have rushed so quickly to write this review. i feel speechless right now yet i know i cannot be because I know i could write for hours on how good this story is. So, I’ll try to keep this short. First of all, “good” is an insane understatement when for the past five times reading this story i have not been able to put it down nor stop thinking about it. I go to sleep at night thinking about the complexity of each character and their relationships. I read this book for the first time a few years ago and it instantly clicked with me, i read it over and over again, refusing to read anything else as i felt i knew the characters so personally. This book meant the absolute world to me, if i was ever in a reading slump there was no other book that could revive me like this one. When i found out it had been removed from wattpad, i was devastated and it took me nearly two years to finally find it again. I am so grateful i did because it truly felt like reading it for the first time again which I am incredibly envious of anyone who gets to experience that utter euphoric feeling (i promise i’m not being dramatic it’s just that good.) This book tackles and deals with such important topics so well and realistically. Many writers tend to go about serious issues in an insensitive or ignorant manner yet i think this story goes about it perfectly and how it doesn’t only affect yourself, but also the people around you. The writing of this story is so beautiful and perfectly captures the emotions Indy endured. These characters are so wonderfully and realistically written it makes it completely incomparable to most other stories i’ve ever read. The characters are undoubtedly flawed yet somehow that’s what makes them feel so real. I would go as far to say i relate to indy’s character on a deeper level, seeing myself in her. She feels as if no one else understands her and perhaps they never will, she really needed Finn and what is less talked about is how much Finn needed her in that moment of his life as well. Two broken, lost souls finding each other in dark times of their lives, not quite seeing what the other person is going through but still being there for each other nevertheless. I love how no matter the way Indy may treat Finn, particularly in the earlier stages of their developing relationship, he would always stick by her. Not only due to how perfect this book is but also to the emotional connection i feel to the story, it has become my all time favourite, If you are reading this review, considering to read this story, please do, it will change your life. Thank you so much to the author, this book undoubtedly changed my life and has been there for me when others haven’t, i will never stop recommending. "
first book read on here and i’m loving it!!
"i loved the topic of SA and being messed up is the only escape from it , i loved everything there wasn’t anything that i disliked! "
I absolutely loved it.
"This book has actually gotten into the top 20 of the best books I read in my whole life, and is definitely the only one up there that I have been able to read for free. The character and story development are absolutely great, and you could actually understand every single one of Indy's thoughts and decisions. You are accompanying her as she grows up, and I don't think I ever read a book in which you can actually tell the current age of the main character without the author actually writing it before. At least not in a book in which the protagonist's age changed. The language used is creating an atmosphere that you just can't escape. And English isn't even my first language. There are no logical, grammatical or spelling errors thourogh the whole book. I would go so far and say that this book is really helping to understand other people's desicions as it shows how there is a reason behind every action. All in all, I want to thank you for writing and posting this story! "
i’m in love with this book it is my 3rd time reading it
"I love this book so much I have read it three times this book really captures how sexual assault really is and captures the details that everyone misses with the friends with the family drugs and alcohol. Doesn’t miss anything. I don’t really read but one day i seen this on watt pad and i have loved it I couldn’t wait to read the book in my car before I went to bed. I just wanted to see how someone else dealt with things that I was battling in my mind "
