Chapter 1: The Stranger

It was the eve of the Super Blue Blood Moon. Everyone was running around town, scurrying to buy the things they needed for the magical event. No one wanted to miss the beautiful sight of the rare Blue Blood Moon. It only occurs once every 150 years! The town was bustling with people talking about their excitement and the bards were singing the tales of those who had witnessed it before.

Violet, the King and Queens most trusted servant, was out in the town purchasing some things for the Queen. The Queen had suddenly fallen incredibly ill this morning and no one knows why. ‘How can a pureblood vampire become sick? It’s just not normal’ Violet thought to herself as she picked up one of the herbs that was on the list, given to her my the King. The King and Queen have been together for a little over 3,000 years. The King was deeply worried for his wife. You could read it all over his face and in his temper. He ordered his best guards to the training grounds, just so he can fight them on his own to release his frustrations. He was merciless, but careful enough to not injure them too much in case the kingdom needed protection.

As Violet grabbed the last herb on the list, a tell brooding man approached her. He stood about 6 foot - 7 inches tall, he was very muscular, his skin a bit on the greyish side, he was bald with tribal tattoos around his scalp and up and down his arms, his tunic was slightly open at the chest just enough where she could see more tattoos along his upper chest, but what caught her attention the most was his eyes. One eye was bright yellow, like the sun, but the other eye was a pale grey with a whitish film over it, indicating he was blind in that eye. He had a scar that ran down his race, only disconnecting where his blind eye was. He shadowed over her tiny body. She slowly looked him up and down, trying her best to not look afraid.

"May I help you, sir?" She said in the most confident voice she could muster.

"I need to speak with you regarding those you serve." the man responded in a strong, booming voice.

She looked at him in both curiosity and uncertainty. 'How can I trust someone who I have never met let alone seen'

"Follow me and I will be able to answer that question for you" He responded as he turned around and began to walk down the cobblestone path.

Violet was very hesitant. Should she follow? She eventually gave in and began to follow the mysterious man down the street. They were walking for what seemed like forever before the man turned down a deserted alleyway. Violet stopped and thought about whether she should continue on or turn around and head back to the castle. She thought more on it, but couldn't shake the strong feeling that she needed to hear what he had to say. A few moments passed by before she gave in and began to walk in the direction the man turned. As soon as she turned the corner, she saw a small tent at the end of the alleyway. As she neared the tent, the curtained entrance separated, inviting her in.

This story seems like it has a lot of potential. I am excited to see where you go with this. It's very descriptive, but be careful that you don't over do it and take away from the story! This is a great first chapter though. Keep it up.
